- SWShay WC4 days ago3.0Because of weather, air traffic control rerouted flights which resulted in our flights being cancelled.. safety first always! We called the hotel to notify them of the cancellation of the first day on a multi-day reservation. We were placed on flights the following day. The hotel did not allow for the change and charged us for the night were weren't there. I understand money is king but sometimes when storms are underway and thousands of people are affected accomodations should be considered. I contacted the airplane and was given a voucher.
- TTToriMay 10, 20264.0A lot of things are just alright about this hotel. However, it’s great if you have an event or want to explore the east village. Walking distance to many bars and restaurants. Parking is a bit confusing because the garage is around the corner. so try not to be in a hurry when you arrive.

Called to reception said no rooms nothing we could do but maybe switch rooms next day. By the time they called to switch rooms we were exhausted and just wanted to be done with this.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and very nice. Loved being able to hang out and play board games with our extended family in the comfortable den area. Pool and hot tub were also great.

Dawn (employee) told me that she “gets $100 tips” for her ‘good customer service’, as if she was looking for some bribe. Overpriced room and parking. There other options in Des Moines, advise to look elsewhere. Will never stay again.
