  I have stayed in this same hotel in the past over the years with zero issues. Not sure what has happened. But this was the top worst stay I have ever had in my whole entire life. Rented two rooms and ended up have to change one of the rooms shortly after arriving due to pubic hair and stains on the sheets in the first room. Second room ended up needing a full bedding change due to what could only be described as human poop smear in the bedding. The rooms smell very musty. The room that we had moved to ended up just as bad with a dirty sock in the bedding and stained bedding . Went to the desk to report the findings to only be greeted with absolute rudeness. The bathroom had mold and the tub looked like it never had been cleaned. On checking out the front desk person argued with me and refused to take accountability for the improper upkeep of this hotel. Even smart mouthed me as I walked away. Complaints were lodged with corporate office and I wouldn’t refer anyone to ever stay there ever!

  This is my first time writing a review about a place, I stay at a lot of different places due to traveling for work. However when it comes to this place the rooms had a funky smell to them. While I was washing my hands this bug just started crawling around in the sink which gave me a heart attack, had soap still on my hands so I overcame my fear to finish washing my hands. I ended up texting my buddy to show him and he advised me that he also just found a bug in his bathroom. We both ended walking over to our other friend’s room which we found mold under his sink. I would not recommend this place to anyone and if it wasn’t 1:00 in the morning I would be trying to switch to another location!

  Do not and I mean DO NOT stay here unless you are extremely desperate! The rooms are disgusting, every piece of the bedding is stained and dirty, all of the towels had stains all over them, floors are dirty and there is soooo much mold. Our first room had someone’s pubic hair all over the bedding and sheets and our second room had strange brown stains on the sheets. They came in and replaced the bedding and it was still disgusting and dirty so we slept with our own blankets. I think they plug in the vacuum and stand in the middle of the room and watch it because this is the dirtiest hotel i have ever stayed at. Keep your family away!!

  Shut this place down. I genuinely don’t even know where to start. This was one of the worst hotel stays I have ever experienced, and I NEVER leave negative reviews. The cleanliness issues were beyond anything we expected, and after seeing multiple responses from the hotel saying they are “looking into” similar concerns, I have very little confidence anything is actually being addressed. This appears to be a family-run property, with family members involved in the day-to-day operation and management, which makes the repeated cleanliness complaints even more concerning. We took photos during our stay, and they are honestly horrendous. This was not a minor housekeeping oversight or one isolated issue. The overall condition of the property was completely unacceptable. If you are staying in Cherokee, I would strongly recommend looking at other accommodations before spending your money here. We will also be submitting the photos and our concerns to the appropriate channels because what we witnessed deserves to be taken seriously.

  While visiting family we decided to stay at the BW not I only because there are very few places to stay in Cherokee, you add in 2 pets and it limits it even more. We have stayed here once before many years ago and had a decent experience but i guess staff has changed because this time was a nightmare. When booking we advised we had 2 dogs and we were told the fee, we confirmed and everything was fine. Well after our first night we went to spend time with family and came back to take our kiddo to the pool, just to find they had deactivated our card while our pets were inside just to insure we would come talk to them (they have our numbers). They proceeded to accuse us of not telling them we had pets and we would be charged an additional 80 a night (respectfully, update your hotel if you are going to upcharge). They tried denying the didnt deactivate the card but our room was actually open, this is a lie. After agreeing to pay but vocalizing that it was wrong the way they handled it we tried contacting the headquarters and unfortunately the people we needed to talk to had just left. We decided to still go to the pool, which is freezing may I add. It made it hard to even enjoy swimming. After we got back to the pool they call the room number to tell us that they will only charge half price for the pet fee due to an understanding. It wasnt about the money but seeing as they seemed to want to not be hostile anymore we thanked them and started to prepare for bed. I got our child ready and tucked in then they call our room again and say the manager is here and would like to speak to my husband. He goes down and within minutes comes up and says that we have been kicked out. The person kicking us out said he was the manager and would not be giving us his supervisors number and we need to leave because dogs aren't allowed in the hotel. My husband asked if he was kicking us out, he was told yes. My husband asked if he could at least grab his things and he was told yes. We packed up and went to check out just for the same guy to say he never kicked us out. They went back on their half price for pets, but we didn't fight it because again it isnt about the money...they are not trustworthy and scammy. The man who kicked us out was the same man that was at breakfast hounding people for good reviews because "his manager was in cambodia and this is the only way he knows hes doing a good job" this is also the same man walking around the parking lot at night for hours. I also should add that some (because i cannot confirm all) are living at the hotel. The gaslighting, lying, restricting access to our pets, Its a sketchy hotel. The one across the street doesnt have a pool but the rooms are nicer, cleaner and the staff is so much friendlier.
