  You get what you pay for - lower price for lower expectations. Ran out of hot water. Disappointing breakfasts. Poor TV selections. Dated.

  The hotel is under new management, and not the same level of service as in days past. I booked a room online for my wife to stay two nights in a queen size bed room. When she checked in they put her in the "honeymoon suite" with a king sized bed. She thought that was wrong and said something, but they insisted it was the correct room. She even asked for a receipt to make sure she wasn't being charged the wrong amount. They refused to give her a receipt and said she could have one when she checked out. Well, at 11AM she heard a knock on the door and they told her she had to vacate the room. My wife said that she had a reservation for two nights, and they disagreed and said she had to leave. Well, she hurriedly got all her stuff and put it out into the hallway and called me. I called the hotel and they tried to say that we only had a reservation for one night. Luckily, I had a digital copy of the reservation which I sent to my wife and she showed the guy at the front desk. At that point they admitted their mistake and put her in a queen size bed room for the last night. What a disaster! My wife was under a lot of stress due to the reason for her travel, and the last thing she needed was that chaos. When she pointed out their error, they should have just let her stay in the room so as not to inconvenience her, but instead they wanted to argue that she had made the error. What nerve! When she checked out they still wouldn't give her a receipt showing what we had paid, all they gave her was a paper that said "guest folio" in the corner showing that the extra money charged for the honeymoon suite had been returned, so we were never given a receipt showing what we had been charged. Terrible customer service!

  Horrible experience, Paid on the site for early arrival. Extra $25. Was told that would mean I could be there at 10AM. Had a wedding to attend at 3pm so 3pm arrival would be too late for checkin. Called hotel to verify, when I had received an email stating 3pm arrival still, yet my bill was still the same paying the extra $25. After calling and talking to a manager, they told me they "do not do early check in" and that I "would not be charged" I told him the situation with the wedding and he said I could be there between 11am - 12pm to check in a little early. I drove 3.5 hours there get there at 12:15 pm and a manager told me the room wont be ready till 1:30. At 1:30, I go to check in. Still get charged the extra $25 and am told, the extra hour and a half is EARLY CHECK IN by some woman manager. Hotel was gross, rooms did smell of cigarette smoke like other reviews had mentioned. Air conditioning was set to 66 degrees, never got cold and was sweating at night trying to sleep. Walls/ceilings were chipping and falling apart due to water damage, and toilet was literally shaking when used since it wasn't bolted down. So it was gross, I was lied to, and ripped off. Never will I stay here again and will def. post this post everywhere I can.

  Ajay helped me after I checked in since I couldn't understand the first guy that was running the main desk. The sky walk access and multiple hallways smelled awful like the carpet hadn't been cleaned in years. Breakfast sausage was very over cooked from looking at it and I love crispy sausage but it was not good. If you get put in a room closest to the main hotel lobby be prepared for a lot of walking from your room to the pool, gym, and just for breakfast. It took me 3 minutes including the elevator ride to walk from my room to the Breakfast nook as an fyi.

  I had a very disappointing experience at Best Western Plus Longbranch Hotel & Convention Center. They charged me a security deposit and never returned it. It has already been one month since my stay, and I still have not received my deposit back. I even went back to the hotel to ask about it, and the staff told me that the refund had already been processed, but that was not true. My bank shows that no refund has been issued. It is very frustrating and unacceptable to be told that a refund was issued when it clearly was not. I expected more honesty and professionalism from this hotel. I would advise future guests to be very careful with security deposits here and to keep close track of their charges.
