- HRHeather Roush2 days ago5.0This is one of the best motels I have ever stayed in. It is super clean. I felt very safe. Beds are super comfortable and free regular and decaf coffee available all day. The pool is well taken care of and it is family friendly, Rooms are super clean bathrooms are also and they have a lot of space. I have a lot of health issues and severe Asthma and the staff were very accommodating to my health issues during my stay by making my room allergy free. The man who made the breakfast named Larry is very kind to all the guests and he makes a great breakfast. The Biscuits and gravy are delicious and so are the cinnamon rolls. All the staff are friendly, kind and professional. If you need a motel in Ames this is the place. If I go to Ames again I will chose this place again. We have already stayed here twice. Mostly I appreciate the kindness and professional staff that really cared about my son and I having severe Asthma and accommodated our needs during our stay. The cost of the motel is very reasonable as well.

The shining star was Larry in the breakfast room. He did a great job of keeping everything stacked, working, and clean. He answered every question and was very kind. He made my day. We are all lucky to have him. Thank you for going above and beyond expectations in friendliness and service, Larry!

This place meets my wife's high standards. One tiny tweak, the phone in our room first floor last room on the left, 109 I think - the phone's handset cord doesn't connect to the phone so you can't answer it.
