  When booking at the Alii, recommend doing so at a unit which does not face North (on the Westin side). The amount of noise from that place and the delivery driveway for the Alii is significant. Also you should know the walkway along Kaanapali Beach has been eroded by two hurricanes and sections are gone. The beach is minimal from the Alii to the Hyatt, yet that’s the only way to pass unless you take the road walk. Our unit 131 was very dated, some things didn’t work right due to age or lack of maintenance, not luxury. Pools are good except no bathrooms were in service due to construction of a new ice cream parlor?

  The staff were courteous and helpful. We felt at home the moment we arrived. The beaches in Kannapali are eroding but there is still beach access for those who want to get into the surf.

  We had a great time. Kaanapali Alii resort is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and went above and beyond when we came back from the beach with some cuts. Our unit had mountain views and we loved it. The beach is nice and just a short walk to black rock for nice snorkeling and to whalers village for shopping.

  It was a beautiful time with the most beautiful sunset views every single day perfect location walkable to Wheeler Village lots of food and dining options. There's a professional chef team that comes Friday through Sunday and will grill all of your meats or veggies. We truly enjoyed this. We made sides in the room, brought our plates, downstairs some wine and wine glasses and just really enjoyed the meal. Overall we wouldn't change a thing about our stay nitpicking. We wish there was a Keurig. I wish that there was larger coffee mugs, but that's just me my preference overall it was a 10/10

  Highly over rated. We just stayed a week. The rooms and service is the best part. Jere are no charcoal grills just gas grills. Thats not bbq. The grounds are small, the pools are tiny, and if you're 50 and under DO NOT stay there.The elderly are boring as hell and complain about everything like they are the only ones there. Overall, we've stayed at way better resorts, mainly in other countries. I would never return there. It says its a 4-5 star stay. Its more like 2.5-3 stars.
