  An absolutely unforgettable honeymoon at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai. From the moment we arrived, we felt cared for in a way that went far beyond service. The Hotel Manager Chad and Senior Chef Richard, along with Ethan the entire team, went out of their way to accommodate every request, big or small. Celebrating our honeymoon was the best decision we could have made as the setting was stunning. We cannot recommend Four Seasons Hualalai highly enough. Mahalo to everyone who made our honeymoon so special.

  I truly cannot recommend this resort enough. We stayed here for a week and enjoyed every second of our stay. First and foremost, the customer service: We enjoyed every interaction we had with the staff. From the bellman, to the valet, to the room service staff, to check in and front desk staff, and each restaurant on site - customer service was something that was very clearly paid attention too and you could tell each staff member had a standard that was set. It was an incredible experience. Rooms: Our room was very clean and very well maintained. We received a room upgrade which was nice, but did not include an outdoor shower- just an outdoor walkout outside of the shower. If that's important to you, just make sure you ask if your room has it. The view from our room was exceptional. The only "negative" I have to say is that if you need laundry service, some of the rooms are very far away from the laundry area. If that's important to you, ask! Location: Hualalai is located within a short distance from the airport which is really nice. Anything else takes about 30 minutes to get to if you plan to leave the resort (shopping, food, town, etc). We spent most of our time at the resort which offered everything we needed. For our couple of outside activities, you just prepare for that. Food: Oh my gosh, the restaurants here were INCREDIBLE. We consider ourselves foodies and love a good meal. We really enjoyed Ulu, and Miller and Lux. Our stay included breakfast which if it wasn't I would have paid for. Gym: Just a bonus tidbit, the gym facilities are incredbile here. I have never been to a resort that has a gym like this where it is a mix of open air and air conditioned spaces. From crossfit, to classes with professional trainers, to yoga, pilates, boxing, basketball courts, tennis courts, and everything in between- they set the bar high. Overall: We stayed at multiple five star resorts on our trip and we kept comparing each resort to this one and they just didn't meet the mark that Four Seasons Hualalai did. We will absolutely be coming back!

  A property with great potential, but unfortunately far below Four Seasons standards. The resort feels dated and is clearly in need of renovation. Service was the biggest disappointment: staff were often unfriendly, dismissive and simply not at the level expected from Four Seasons. Long waits for breakfast, waiting lists for pool loungers, slow responses to requests, and mediocre food across the restaurants. Room cleanliness was also disappointing, including dirty rooms and even bed linen that was not properly clean. The only real exception in terms of service was Claudio, an Italian member of staff, who was genuinely kind, professional and attentive, and deserves recognition. Considering the rates, the resort is completely overpriced for the experience it delivers. The property itself is beautiful and certainly a step above Four Seasons Maui, but that alone is not enough. Overall, very far from the level of service, cleanliness, attention and hospitality I have experienced at other Four Seasons properties around the world.

  Very beautiful views, great service, amazing food and drinks but the best part was the company! Great birthday get away for us! Everyone was so inviting when we told them it was my birthday!

  This review is focused on the dining and shopping. I have not stayed overnight so I cannot speak to the rooms, pool/beach service, etc. My husband and I love going to ‘Ulu and Noio for special dinners. The food at each restaurant is fantastic and the view is gorgeous, of course. 

Noio is our preferred dinner spot for a special, quieter evening. The sushi is as fresh as you could hope for outside of Japan. Every cut of tuna is sublime and the Negitoro roll is my favorite roll (maybe ever?!) We usually do a makeshift omakase, letting the chef choose and course out 10-12 nigiri, but next time I go I might just order two Negitoro rolls— they’re just that good! We haven’t tried their omakase yet.

I would like to give a special shoutout to Jeremiah. We are thrilled whenever we find out that he is our server. He is so passionate about food, wine, and sake and it’s a joy getting to geek out with him over different pairings and selections. He’s always been exceptionally kind and makes us feel not only welcome in the restaurant but also so excited about our food. 

‘Ulu is great but a little more hectic-feeling given the proximity to the beach. Some of our favorite dishes are the tableside bluefin tuna poke and the pineapple vanilla soufflé. The cocktails are well balanced and I especially enjoy the Heritage Brine. The other day I poked into Seaside Luxe for the first time. Sometimes I feel a bit awkward in hotel boutiques and can get anxious if the environment feels too pushy. I really appreciated Mele for creating a calm, inviting environment in which I felt comfortable to browse and purchase without any pressure. She really brightened my day and I’m really happy with my purchase. I’ll be back to shop for sure!
