What really has me doing this survey is the FIRST IMPRESSION OF THIS HOTEL AND THE FRONT DESK. I AM VERY DISGUSTED, BECAUSE, THAT WAS OUR FIRST TIME VISITING INDIANA. MY DAUGHTER WAS GRADUATING FROM PURDUE UNIVERSITY, WITH A 4PT GPA. OUR FAMILY WAS AND STILL IS VERY PROUD. A WEEK PRIOR TO OUR VISIT I WAS ASK TO CALL IHG/HOLIDAY INN, AND LET THEM KNOW THAT OUR FLIGHT WAS GOING TO BE VERY EARLY. I DID, AND GOT THE RESERVATIONIST DESK, AND TOLD THEM THAT WE HAD A VERY EARLY FLIGHT AND WILL NEED SOME ASSISTANCE TO THE ROOM. THE REP., THAT I SPOKE WITH TOLD ME THAT AS AN ELITE MEMBER THAT WOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM. WHEN WE GOT TO THE HOTEL, THE WHITE GENTLE AT THE FRONT DESK, ACTUALLY LOOKED AT US AS THOUGH WE DID SOMETHING WRONG. HE DID NOT SAY HELLO, HE DID NOT WELCOME US, AS MY DAUGHTER GAVE OUR NAME. SHE COULD NOT EVEN GET THE CONFIRMATION NUMBER OUT, WE TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO HIM THAT WE WERE EARLY AND WAS TOLD BY THE RESERVATION DESK THAT HE SPOKE WITH AN IN HOUSE REP AND SHE SAID NO PROBLEM. THE MAN THEN WENT ON TO SAY, THE ROOMS WILL NOT BE READY UNTIL 3PM, I STEPPED IN AND SAID THAT'S NOT WHAT WE WERE PROMISED. WE'VE BEEN UP ALL NIGHT COMING IN FROM FLORIDA, DRIVING HOURS TO GET TO THE AIRPORT, WAIT ON OUR FLIGHT, FLY FOR TWO AND A HALF HOURS, THEN GET THE RENTAL CAR, THEN DRIVE TWO HOURS TO THE HOTEL. OUR BODIES NEEDED REST, AS WELL AS WE WERE VERY HUNGRY. WHILE MY DAUGHTER WAS STILL TRYING TO REASON, WHO TURNED OUT TO BE THE MANAGER, WOW!! I SMELLED FOOD, AND ASK WHAT TIME THE DINING ROOM CLOSED FOR BREAKFAST, HE IMMEDIATELY RESPONDED AS WE WERE HOODLUMS, BREAKFAST IS CLOSED. WHILE MY DAUGHTER WAS TALKING, I ASK WHAT TIME, HE SAID 9:30, I LOOKED AT MY WATCH REALIZING THAT THEY ALWAYS GIVE IT A GRACE DUE TO PEOPLE THAT MIGHT NEED AN EXTRA 5 MINS; AND IT WAS STILL TIME, WITH A DISGUSTED VOICE, SHE SAID MOM WE'LL GO OVER TO IHOP. DOUBLE WOW!! WE DID NOT FEEL IMPORTANT AT ALL. IF IT HADN;T BEEN FOR CHEYENNE, THE FRONT DESK CLERK, WE WOULD HAVE NEVER CHECKED IN. SHE DID APOLOGIZE FOR THAT GUYS ATTITUDE, WHICH THERE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN IN THE FIRST PLACE. EVERYONE THAT CHECKS INTO THAT HOTEL, IS PAYING THEIR RENT, MORTGAGE, FOR THEM TO LIVE WHERE THEY DO! OUT OF ALL THAT, WE WERE TOLD THAT THE ROOM WHEN THEY GIVE US A CALL, SHOULD BE READY. DUE TO MY PHONE BEING ON PILOT MODE STILL, I DIDN'T GET THE CALL UNTIL CLOSE TO 1PM. WE WERE EXHAUSTED, AND HAD TO BE AT THE COLLEGE BY 4:30, BUT DIDN'T ARRIVE UNTIL 5:30. WHILE WAITING FOR THE ROOM, MY DAUGHTER REACHED OUT TO REPORT THE MANAGERS ATTITUDE, THE YOUNG LADY THAT TOOK HER CALL AT CONSUMER RELATIONS, HUNGUP ON HER. AGAIN, WOW!! WE THEN STARTED LOOKING FOR ANOTHER HOTEL, BUT COULDN'T TAKE IT, BECAUSE TO CHANGE, WE HAD TO CANCEL A DAY PRIOR OR I WOULD FORFEIT ONE DAY.
