  Great customer service is hard to come by these days, which is why I want to take a moment to recognize Jaymi at the Holiday Inn Express in Tucker, GA. Jaymi provided exceptional customer service from the moment I interacted with her. She was friendly, professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure I had a positive experience, and her warm attitude made a lasting impression. It's refreshing to encounter someone who truly understands what hospitality means. Jaymi exceeded my expectations. Holiday Inn Express is fortunate to have an employee like her who represents the brand so well. Thank you, Jaymi, for reminding me that great customer service still exists!

  I Booked 2 nights stay using my points and cash combine for Aug 7-9, 2026. I added my brother in the reservation as secondary guest, I couldn’t travel on the Aug 7 but my brother arrived before me. But the receptionist (Indian guy names Manzoor) didn’t let him check in for the room. My brother arrived 1am in the morning with his daughter tired and exhausted with long drive.I called the hotel and talk to the front desk to let him check him for the room but he refused saying secondary guest not allowed to check in for points booking. This rule I never heard before, and nowhere mention in the website. I asked him to send me the policy stating that but he refused and told me to contact IHG about it. I called IHG late at night around 1:30 am and finally after half an hour I finally got to talk to the customer service representative and they contacted the hotel and guy still refused to let my brother check in for the room. Customer representative transferred me to higher customer relation dept and they couldn’t help me because hotel didn’t pick up the phone when they called. My brother had to sleep in the car with his daughter that night because of the front desk guy with ego issue. This is ridiculous and unprofessional from the hotel management. I will try avoid IHG hotel in general and suggest people to think about using ihg points in future to book your stay. I might not use my IHG credit card ever again.

  this is a poorly run hotel I would advise you not to stay here. They ran out of breakfast items at 8 o’clock in the morning. The hotel sink in the bathroom completely fills up. It does not drain! it was very hard to get the soap out of the container to take a shower!

  My family of four spent one night here at the end of June. The stay was great - the beds were comfortable, the room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. But, I’m giving 5 stars because of what happened after we left. When we got to our next destination, my youngest realized that a beloved toy (a stuffed eagle named “Nugget”) was missing. We called the Tucker Holiday Inn Express, and by the next day, they had called back to let us know that Nugget had been found! When we returned home, we sent a shipping label to the hotel, and they sent Nugget back home, where he is now recovering from the whole ordeal. I think that it is pretty typical for a hotel to provide a comfortable stay and good service while you’re there. But, the people of the Tucker Holiday Inn Express were kind enough to help us after we were gone. To me, that is extraordinary service. I am incredibly grateful to them for their kindness and help. You made a difference!

  The hotel is in a decent location and was one of the more affordable options in the area. Before arriving, I called to ask about any additional fees and was told there would be a $75 incidental hold. However, when I checked in, I was told it was actually $100, which was frustrating. When I opened the door to my room, I was immediately hit with a strong smell of cigarette and/or marijuana smoke. This was surprising since the hotel clearly has “No Smoking” signs posted. Unfortunately, there were no other rooms available, so I had no choice but to stay in that room. The bathroom also wasn’t as clean as I expected, with several visibly dirty areas that should have been addressed before check-in. The most uncomfortable part of my stay happened when a member of the housekeeping staff opened my room door while I was in the shower. I’m still not sure how or why that happened, but it was a major invasion of privacy and made me feel very uncomfortable. On a positive note, the breakfast was good, and the front desk staff was kind and apologized for the privacy issue. Overall, the stay was disappointing. I’m hoping to receive a refund because, despite choosing this hotel for its affordability, the cleanliness issues, smoke odor, unexpected fee change, and privacy incident made for an uncomfortable experience. I have reported the stay with IHG and still have not received my incidental refund.
