  Close to river walk in Savannah. Lots of restaurants with seating outside, lots to walk and see without driving. Vallet parking only at hotel. Pay to park on one side of hotel, or try and grab a street parking for free... maybe 10 street parking lots available.

  First of all, I made a mistake and booked this Holiday Inn thinking I was booking the Holiday Inn Express down the street where I usually stay. Don't know how I made that mistake. The stay was fine and all of the staff we encountered were very polite and helpful. The valet charge was high though for a Holiday Inn, at $45 nightly. However, the beds are hard as a rock, which was very detrimental to my back, and I woke up every morning in severe pain. Requesting another room was pointless as I would believe every room has the same bed. The pillows were completely flat once you laid on them, which offered no support to my neck. I can't recommend staying here if you have back or neck issues. Unless you like sleeping on a rock-hard bed, I'd avoid it.

  Everyone we interacted with was incredibly professional. I will definitely stay here next time. The Valets were exceptional! They are well worth the cost. They are independent operators from the hotel, but I was able to charge the fees to my room. There's an app or website you can use to top them and request your car when you need it. We were traveling and had a car full of vacation stuff. My car was looked after and we had access to it whenever we wanted. The front desk was exceptional. Check-in was quick and easy. In the IHG app, I requested a room far from the elevator, which was not what I meant to do. They Front Desk attendant checked us into a more suitable room on an upper floor so we'd have a better view. We loved watching the historic district come to life. Also fun watching the storm come in and the very heavy rain the next day. The Breakfast Attendant was a lot of fun. I help that position previously, and I can tell you this lady is on it and glad to be there. Made a great start to our long day of driving. We didn't stay to eat, just grabbed coffee & a few thing to eat in the car. Since I can't have gluten or dairy, I bring breakfast food on trips. I was so happy to find 3 flavors of soy milk, fruit, and hard boiled eggs that were all safe for me. (We didn't ask about gluten free bread options.) The room was very clean. Even the air conditioner filters were clean. Most places miss that. The beds were comfortable without being squishy. There were firm and soft pillows - pillowcases are embroidered with "firm" and "soft".

  Our stay at the Holiday Inn Historic District in Savannah was truly wonderful. The staff was exceptional—every single person we encountered was helpful, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. We celebrated our 40th High School Class Reunion there, and the hotel provided the perfect backdrop for such a special milestone. The property was clean, the rooms smelled fresh, and everything felt well cared for. It was a great stay from beginning to end, and we’re grateful for the outstanding service that made our reunion even more memorable
