  Stayed at this particular property in Savannah, Georgia from Wednesday, 05 August 2026 to Monday, 10 August 2026. I was in the area for the purpose of doing genealogy work/research. My Wednesday August 5th check in went relatively smoothly & was uneventful. The young man who was doing my check in was pretty cool & I was explaining to him the reason that I was in town & was briefly discussing my genealogy research with him. When I finally got upstairs to my assigned room....The condition of the room was immaculate and worth every penny!!!! The condition of the assigned hotel room was perfect from every aspect. Also, the hotel is in a great location, as it is along one of the city's bus routes and is near good eating establishments like "Olive Garden" "Outback Steakhouse" & "Applebee's" to name a few. The only thing about my stay that I didn't like, was when I had extended my three-night stay to five nights....Apparently this one guy who was an African & an employee of the hotel of some sort & possibly even hotel management....He didn't get the memo about my stayover & tried to barge into the room without knocking, thinking that I was gone....Luckily I had the deadbolt on & he couldn't get into the room. When I came to the hotel room door, to see what the hell was going on....This is when he claimed that he didn't know that the room was still occupied by a guest (Which I am still not sure how true that is) and was very unapologetic about the whole ordeal. This is the only thing about my stay that I didn't particularly like....But to the hotel's credit they did let me do late check out on my check out date, which is one of the perks of being a Silver Elite Member of IHG. The late check out somewhat made up for the attempt by hotel staff to enter my assigned room without knocking. Lastly, this hotel is a really nice place to stay while visiting Savannah and I definitely recommend staying here. Holiday Inn Express never disappoints.

  Great location, clean rooms, and great hospitality. I would highly recommend and definitely will be coming here often in the foreseeable future.

  This place is a scam. After checkout they accused us of smoking in room and charged our card $250. We do not smoke at ALL. Tried to dispute it and they said oh well that they were charging anyway
