  good for the money, clean and safe with good parking, will recomend , I would ask for a breakfast to be improved if advertised as free breakfast, i would call it more as small snack area.

  Any reviews should always start with good information before you get to the concerning information. I’m 53 years old and I’ve been staying in hotels off and on my whole life I have seen the good and the bad and from the outward appearance the avid hotel I stayed in with my daughter in Perry Georgia Friday evening into Saturday the 14th is a beautiful establishment. Seems to be new on the market very clean, modern charging stations for devices everywhere and well maintained. As mentioned in previous posts and reviews people mentioned that it is a Spartan surrounding and does not accommodate the high-end crowd. Avid is meant for exactly what most people use hotels for a comfortable, clean bed a hot shower and if on a business trip a place to put your laptop and work. As you will see contained in the pictures below one of the things right out of the gate that concerned me about my stay was this hundred dollar incidental fee which the clerk at the desk assured me was not actually going to be deducted from my account it was just a “hold” just in case something occurred. I wasn’t overly happy with this and figure as long as I got a receipt I would be OK. Then this clerk very adamantly informed me there was no receipt or email to be had for the fact that he just put $100 hold on my debit card and that it would not be taken from the account I should’ve left, gotten a refund for my overpriced room at $141 and found another place nearby which they were plenty but I just rolled my eyes and went to my room and within the hour, checked my banking account to find it in fact, $100 had been taken! To be completely honest when I checked out today once again asking for a receipt or an email and was told again that I would not be getting one and it was not something they provided. I informed the clerk they would never see me again, which you will not. To be completely fair I checked my account and within two hours the money had been returned. On a couple of other concerns. Most hotels you go to, regardless of how much you pay the water in the shower is hot inside of a minute or two. it took the shower in excess of 10 minutes to get to a tolerable temperature and was never really hot. Somebody needs to get a basin wrench after the spigot in the sink as it is loose and flops back-and-forth, the washcloth my daughter used had an unknown green substance on it. It almost look like somebody had used it to clean up paint in their house. One of the comforters was falling apart, which is not that big of a deal. It is just a maintenance item that needs to be taken care of. We also found what looks suspiciously like a rubber band off of somebody’s braces in my daughter‘s bed. I stripped the bed prior to departure this morning, which I always do which essentially forces housekeeping to put new linens on the bed for the next guest. I left the room, neat with no issues. I just feel that the laundry list of rules, the establishment, has, and the non-accommodating attitude of the staff makes even a nice place intolerable to stay in. Be very careful and aware using this establishment.

  Phenomenal stay for the NBHA World Finals—outstanding service! We stayed here while attending the NBHA Worlds in Perry, and the entire team went above and beyond to take care of us. From the moment we checked in, the evening front desk staff made us feel incredibly welcome, handling everything with a smile after our long days at the arena. Housekeeping was equally amazing, keeping our room immaculate and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The entire staff is genuinely friendly, personable, and down-to-earth. It truly felt like a home away from home.
