  I'm grateful I had a place to rest during a long road trip that allowed my dog to be with me. The room looked great when I checked in. For the record room 122 has to be the worst room in the place: hot/cold water is reversed for the sink and shower. Hot water pressure wasn't enough to keep the shower head engaged - I had to take a luke warm shower. There is patch of black mold growing on the shower wall. The bathroom floor is exceptionally slippery, even with sneakers on. The room is next to the back entrance which is convenient but noisy. Neither my dog or I got much sleep - defeating the purpose of the stop. There is a one inch gap along the door that magnifies noise in the hallway. The breakfast would have been decent but the tater tots were ice cold in the center. All of this was reported at checkout. They took notes and said sorry. I could gave gone to a cheaper hotel and had better sleep. Otherwise, the room was nice.

  Mitch and Shar, I’ve been to best westerns, all over the southeast. But this one, the staff are the nicest, and they take care of you better than any hotel I’ve ever been to. Had to give them props. If you’re looking for a place to stay, stay here.

  I recently learned that Best Western was experiencing a rebrand and a few of their properties had been updated. I am an IHG & Mariott member. I decided on a budget hotel during my stay this past weekend in Kennesaw. I attended a AAU basketball tournament nearby at Marietta High School and budgeted to spend under $100 a night. I booked my stay using the App and was lucky to find a deal for $98 for Fri/Sat and $78 for Sun. I was not concerned with a fancy boutique style room because during tournament weekends we spend most of our time in the gym and on the road. This location was central to most highways and was convenient when accessing restaurants and shopping. Mitch helped us Check In during Friday evening. The front desk reception and housekeeping were wonderful. Staff cleaned the room immaculately. The downside to this budget hotel is the obvious. This is an old property. From the moment you arrive, the entrance door is broken. This is a major inconvenience to guests carting luggage. This should take priority over updating room furniture and flooring. This was also dangerous. It should be addressed immediately. I witnessed 2 elderly people struggle with the door. While the rooms have new updated furniture, Flooring and the bathrooms are TINY and outdated. Upon entering the lobby, the odor of excessive bleach is alarming. The floors smell of mildew. They could invest in the air fresheners the other hotels use to remedy this issue. In our 2nd floor room, The toilet was an inch from the door. Which is ridiculous. Paint was peeling from the tub, the fan is useless and when you turn on the hot water, it sounds like a whistling Tea Kettle. The walls are cheap toilet paper thin. You will hear everything and everyone. Bring JBL or Beats headphones. The property faces an active highway, you will hear highway noise all night. The mattresses have an uncomfortable innerspring. Cheap. Bring your own pillows. The AC units are outdated but not the very worst. The hotel offers continental breakfast. It was not good at all. Bagels, waffles, cereal, sausage. Low quality. There are plenty of fast food restaurants in the area, you can visit for less than $5 for breakfast. Comfort comes at a price and you will get what you pay for here.

They went above and beyond with their kindness and patience even after I made a mess with some spilled peanuts in the bathroom during checkout. Their professionalism and people skills are top-notch.   Staff was friendly. The location was good. The room was decent for 1 night. None of the outlets worked at the bedside. No breakfast was served.
