The resort is in a perfect location. Beach nearby, plenty of walking paths, lots of things to do. Property is well kept up but it is an older complex but still very nice. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it for anyone looking to get away for a pleasant vacation. Oh, if you have a dog(s) bring them they'll love it.

I called to make a reservation and was told a price of $208 per night, I said id call back the lady said if i would book now she would give me a discount of $168 since im a ihg member but would be no refund for cancelation. Problem was she failed to mention the $32.10 additional charge that would be added to our bill for use of the resort amenities like the pool . Total charges after tax was $229. My room was clean and staff was nice and friendly. Restaurant was also good with nice pool and great veiws. If it wasnt for the dishonesty of the hidden fees it would be 5 stars. When you tell someone $168 per night thats means $168 plus tax. If there is fees to use the pool, ice machine, exercise room etc. That should be told up-front or included in the quote price.

Me & my family were there & checked out this morning..The staff was very professional . They went above & beyond.. I am disabled & in a wheelchair with Cancer..I cut myself on the beach, the front desk staff member brought out the first aid kit, & asked what I needed... This morning the lady that does the coffee room was so kind & professional..They deserve a raise... I appreciate them & so does my family.. Thank You
On your next stay definitely book with this hotel!!!

There's so much to love about this place but also a few things that need improvement as indicated by their rating on Google. My check-in experience with Kim was lovely. We immediately established rapport, and she gave me a great room, early check-in, and a couple of freebies that shall remain unnamed lest the front desk be inundated by future guests expecting the same. The view from my room was beautiful, and the grounds are very nice. The beach is incredible! The room itself, while updated and overall quite adequate, suffered from several deficiencies. Why on earth would an oceanfront hotel have carpet in the rooms?! And they allow pets, which should be reason enough for solid surface flooring. One can only imagine the nastiness embedded in those carpet fibers. The HVAC units are essentially the old school wall/window units (with a modern, wall-mounted thermostat), and you hear every rattle in that sucker. I slept with ear plugs in. Also, the air it was emitting had a distinct odor indicative of an old, dirty filter in need of replacement. Now, I understand that a partially updated room at the beach can only get so clean, but the room just looked tired with the exception of newer furniture. The lighting at the bathroom mirror is good, but the bulbs in the bedroom light fixtures were that awful LED harsh white. Oh, and the bed squeaked! Enough said. It's a lovely spot, but be prepared for the drawbacks and appreciate the value. (Also, as it relates to the restaurant, which I'll add to google separately since the restaurant has its own listing...Johnette in the restaurant was sweet and fun and helpful. The restaurant is beautiful, and my smashburger was spectacular. The only improvement there would be a healthy cooked side on the menu, like steamed broccoli or brussels sprouts (not fried or sauced up) or simple green beans.)

The only good thing is can say is the island its self is very beautiful the rooms aren't the most up-to-date but they aren't terrible it was a cozy little space. However some of the staff not a good look for the hotel. The server April clearly should get out of working a server job if shes that unhappy. She was nothing but rude to multiple people. I heard it for myself and heard from multiple other people while on our stay. Friday night I sat at the bar and listened to her talk shit about pretty much every person that came up to the window to order. Than sunday morning before we left a few of our kids had gone down to eat cause they had been told about kids vouchers and she handled the situation very poorly. Also I dont know what she said but she stood there and made some rude comment about my kids or all the kids and I just about addressed her right there but I am very upset so it would not have gone nicely and im not trying to cause a scene. But she should not be working there, i heard multiple guest complain about her. I work in a resturant and I understand people can be too much sometimes but to stand there and talk about kids and people who really aren't doing anything infront of customers is not okay. I spent alot of money at that restaurant on the property and tipped well. What shes doing is not okay.
