  Breakfast by Alford is spot on, always good. The hotel takes care of guests, giving personal touches like welcome bags for repeat customers. Staff exceptionally friendly and always willing to accommodate requests

  I have been staying at this hotel while attending Command College in Columbus, and I cannot say enough about the outstanding hospitality of the staff. From the moment I arrive, they are welcoming, attentive, accommodating, and consistently respectful. They go above and beyond to make every guest feel valued, and they truly make me feel like part of their family during each stay. A special recognition goes to Alfred, who runs the kitchen. He is absolutely amazing and always starts my day with a smile. His professionalism, positive attitude, and dedication to providing an excellent breakfast experience are second to none. Alfred and the entire team play a huge role in making this hotel feel like a home away from home. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

  Alford's customer service was great, as was that of all the other staff. I will definitely be returning to this Holiday Inn.

  *UPDATE* The manager by the name of Jody contacted me after seeing my review. We discussed the situation for a good 20 minutes and she said that she would be refunding us for the two days we were there. I was at the hospital with my son when she called and I wasn't able to see her until the next day. While leaving the hotel, I stopped and asked her (Jody) about the refund and she tells me she has already taken care of it and I didn't need to do anything. It has been over a week and no refund has been issued. I've called multiple times almost everyday and left voicemail. Other staff members have taken my contact information and yet she still has not responded! Based off how management is acting, I'm not surprised at how our experience was! I unfortunately am still in Columbus at a different (much better!) due to my son being in the hospital and I will be going to them in person tomorrow! I wish I could have said management did their job and made things better, but sadly I can't. Please be aware! Find another place! I would give no stars if I could! The absolute WORST place I have EVER stayed! Tvs don't work, washer/dryer doesn't work, front desk lady is LAZY and won't do her job! Every time we have come down there she is playing on her phone or has a friend hanging out! She was asked from the time we checked in around 9 pm until almost 4 am FOUR times for the rollaway bed and extra blankets! Even at 4 in the morning, she tried saying they don't have those here (I was just here a week ago and know they do). She got off her butt and went and got it. She simply did not want to do her job! Not to mention we got in late and I have 3 young kids to feed. I went to the front and grabbed Mac n cheese and a hot pocket. Prior to this I tried to pay for laundry and her system wasn't working. So when I tried to pay for the food for the kids she clearly sees standing there with the food, she says "dat card aint gon work, it gon decline" and refuses to even let me try! Leaving me having to put everything back and my kids will have to wait until breakfast now. The absolute worst customer service and worst type of person in general! $488 for two nights for what? Tvs don't work (and she gave me a number to call about it instead of her, turns out none of the tvs work past basic news channels and that's not whats promised on the booking site), laundry doesn't work, there's no kitchens in the rooms to cook (but a huge kitchen table with 4 seats🤔), not even a coffee pot (again not what the site says), no grills on site (again false advertisement), ONE tiny trash can in the room and no room service daily.... and you're expected to buy food daily and put the trash where?? THIS PLACE IS A DUMP!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME! Oh, and the pool is a gravel, cheap lined pool, so you can't even enjoy it without getting cut up very badly from it! I'm requesting a refund and will be leaving early!

  The location is really good. I was actually mind blown at how dirty and gross our room was. My family was upset at the experience. We put our water in refrigerator when we arrived and someone's left over food was in there. Rotten kimchi. It was disgusting. Beds were at least clean but horrible mattresses. When I went to the shower I noticed how dirty the floor was, I got a tissue and wiped to show how dirty it was. This was BEFORE being used. The towel was us actually cleaning the floor after we arrived. The bathroom door was so dirty with dirt and grime as well. It definitely does. not getting cleaned proper I was going to request a room change but I would bet the others were the same. We just cleaned it ourselves to ensure it was to our standards. Unfortunately due to personal circumstances we had to stay and could not move. Totally disappointed.
