Southern Hospitality at Its Best – Holiday Inn Express, Canton, GA
My experience at the Holiday Inn Express in Canton, Georgia, was a wonderful reminder that nothing compares to genuine Southern hospitality!
The hotel is very new, exceptionally clean, and conveniently located near just about everything you might need. There is excellent shopping, a variety of restaurants, multiple coffee shops—including Starbucks and Dunkin’—post offices, print shops, and places of worship. The location makes it easy to take care of business while also enjoying the surrounding area.
What truly made my experience special, however, was the staff.
Nicole was incredibly kind, attentive, and perceptive. I was initially hesitant about staying at this property because I typically choose other hotel chains. With my usual options fully booked, Nicole took the time to understand my concerns rather than simply trying to sell me a room. She showed me a room before I committed to booking and made sure both my needs and my child’s comfort were considered. She warmly encouraged me to give the hotel a chance, assuring me that we would love our stay. Her thoughtfulness and genuine hospitality made a wonderful first impression.
Then I met Joey, one of the managers, who was equally welcoming. He helped connect my newly created account and engaged me in a great conversation. He reassured me that my child would have a great breakfast experience and that we would feel safe and comfortable. Joey also took the time to explain the Holiday Inn family of brands, how the company has expanded, and how it continues to compete in the hospitality industry. I appreciated his knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile.
Both Nicole and Joey demonstrated something that cannot be taught through a customer service manual: the ability to make people feel welcomed, heard, and valued.
Although I initially considered this hotel because my usual choices were unavailable, I am so glad I gave it a chance. The cleanliness, location, and welcoming atmosphere were impressive, but the people made the difference.
Nicole and Joey, thank you for making us feel at home! You are wonderful representatives of the Holiday Inn Express brand.
There is something special about being welcomed with genuine warmth, kindness, and a personal touch. Nothing is quite like that Southern hospitality!
I would gladly recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Canton, Georgia, to anyone looking for a clean, convenient, comfortable stay with a team that understands the true meaning of hospitality.
I support limiting waste in our world, but removing the coffee makers from the rooms is horrible! Not only is there no coffee maker, but there is very little countertop space in the bathroom, zero hooks in the bathroom to hang up a towel, no streaming capacity on the TV in the room (only casting available, which did not work with my device), and the lighting in the room is so dim, you can hardly see anything at night. We did not arrive until after dark and had a hard time unpacking.
Breakfast is good, the location is good, and the cleanliness os good.
