We picked this hotel because on Best Western website, this location specifically states they serve bacon for breakfast (I can't eat sausage). I was looking forward to breakfast!! They didn't have bacon. 😢
I mentioned it to the host in the breakfast area. She said to tell front desk because she orders everything. So, I did! What an attitude. Wouldn't even look me in the eye. Instead, rolling her eyes and facial expression were very strong and telling. Every excuse in the book and how she doesn't know how much to order....you name it, she had excuses. Said she was front desk manager and when I asked who hotel manager was, she acted like she wasn't real sure about it and mumbled a name. .but he's not there, according to her. I was really trying to be nice, but she wasn't making it easy. I even told her I was trying to be nice but her attitude wasn't making it easy.
No apologies, no "I'll bring it to owners attention" nothing but excuses and attitude.
Now, the man at the desk when we checked in was very nice and friendly. Rooms are a bit snug, but they work. Beds and pillows were comfy.
Good for a one night stay as we were traveling. A lot of road noise. Lots of restaurants near by.
Don't expect what it says in print to be true.

The front clerk was courteous when we wanted to check in earlier. The room was clean and well maintained, also the hall, dining room. The breakfast was well run, the lady is doing an excellent job. We will come here again! Thank you for the good service!

Had a wonderful experience! The staff was super friendly. Especially, Ms. Jennifer in the breakfast area.❤️
Not a good stay. Room smelled like a wet dog and around edges of carpet and bathroom, floors not clean. Towels were not white they were yellowed. Bathroom smelled like not cleaned. We actually had no choice since front desk said only room available. We slept in our clothes when we ginally coild sleep. Kids on floor above running and dlamming doirs until after midnight. Front desk called to tell us it was "just kids". Anyways, thank goodness I bring lysol and some cleaning wipes. I spoke to the front desk about it but they could care less. He didn't even look up at me. Was too busy playing on his computer. Note: Handicapped room is far from either entrances. Not all handicapped people use a chair! I gave them 48 hours for a response before posting. It is apparent they could care less.
There are much better places to stay in Brunswick than this hotel. We checked in Sunday evening, and the girl working the desk at night is lovely. She should get a raise. :) The manager; however, is a piece of a work. My boyfriend was there for work purposes taking a course and we had to stay here because the hotel was covered and contracted by the facility hosting the course. The manager was not only rude and all up in our business, but we had several other friends who experienced the same treatment. We ended up having to leave the hotel because "he couldn't be held liable for a non-approved guest ( me)." One friend put his "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door and housekeeping still came into his room. In fact, the manager told us that because it's an assigned room "you don't get any privacy - we can enter the room whenever we want." Another friend said the manager went to her room at 8p one night, knocked on her door, and asked what she had in her refrigerator. This is completely inappropriate. Alan needs to go. Do not stay here - there are other places priced similarly that are way better.
