Front desk clerk was nice.
Rooms are pretty clean. No hot water literally. No hot water at all. Ive tried to call the front desk but there is no possible way to call other then going downstairs to lobby. Valet is $55 a night. Weird parking lot across the street is $30 for the day. Watched multiple dr ug transactions happen in front of hotel. Which must be a common issue because it’s like a fort to get in to it. Was surprised that it was cute and clean since the room was cheap but it all makes sense now.

I stayed here this past weekend and while the hotel had its charms, one mistake from one of their employees ruined my whole stay, I came to Atlanta for an event and while I was out I left my wallet on top of the vanity/table they had in the room, when I came back all I wanted to do was shower and get a good night rest because I had an early flight the next day, come to find out they came in to clean and while they did that they took $100 from my wallet, it’s very unfortunate that this happened and since I’ve contacted the general manager, which he refuses to understand that some type of reimbursement should done, he says the hotel “does not provide compensation for cash or personal items reported as lost or stolen” which to me that sounds as bs, I paid to stay there and should feel like my things could remain untouched, i shouldn’t have to worry about feeling like my personal possessions were violated but I do, do better and take accountability for your employees actions.

Well, we stayed at the Origin Hotel in Atlanta over the weekend, and it was not great.
The good: The hotel is less than a year old, so it's modern. The staff we met were nice and friendly, especially one valet who was super helpful and a joy to talk to.
The location to the Masquerade, underground, is a 6-minute walk. Interstate access is excellent, and there are restaurants nearby. A room key is needed to enter your floor number in the elevator. The rooms are big, beds are soft; we wanted to bring the pillows home. The bathroom is large with a walk-in shower, rainfall head, and Bluetooth mirror. They had a sundry in the lobby with all the normal snacks and drinks.
The bad: The room value, at almost $300 a night including valet, without tips. The room was not clean, especially the bathroom. The room got super stuffy during the night like the fan quit blowing. There was no pool. The restaurant and bar closed early even though others up the street were open. The biggest problem: on the way to the elevator, a piece of trim on one of the corners was so sharp it sliced my finger open.
No one notified the manager of my hand getting cut even though we had to get Band-Aids from the front desk twice and reported the issue with the loose, sharp trim. To her credit, she was sending the engineer up to fix the issue. We were offered free breakfast, drinks, or snacks for the incident, but no discounts or any other option.

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. My dad and I were diverted to Atlanta for two nights on a trip to the north east and we didn't arrive until 3am. The check-in wasn't great, we were put in a room with one queen bed, but when I went back they quickly changed it and apologized.
The Guest Service Manager that really blew me away the next day was Tracy Mccowin. I know her full name now because I had to email our airline vouchers and she helped get all our expenses sorted out without issue. I'm sure it wasn't easy. We appreciated how nice, friendly, and helpful she was to recommend places for us to go. It was a genuine pleasure to stay at this hotel because of Tracy.
I bet most of the staff are similar. We walked in when they seemed to be having a staff huddle in the lobby and the man leading the meeting made it a point to greet us. I could tell they were doing their best to provide a great experience for guests.
The hotel is not perfect.. but the room and bed were comfortable, the shower was very nice (spacious with overhead wide shower head) and it feels like a kind of luxury experience but more affordable.
