Just checked out two days early because this place is literally torture. Every time the air conditioner turned on or off it sounded like someone was kicking my door. Didn’t even get one out of sleep. I was also supposed to get a room with a balcony and did not. I travel for work and live in hotels basically and will never be back. They also charge (ChargePoint) for the EV chargers where the few Hilton or Marriott properties that do have EV chargers, are complimentary. Front desk guy couldn’t have cared less. Offered a half heartedly “I apologize.”… yeah right. Do better!

We had such a great time at Hotel Indigo Atlanta-Vinings this past weekend! The rooms and spaces were clean and beautifully kept. The pool was fantastic and not super crowded. The hours are great and there are plenty of lounging areas. We appreciated the shuttle service to The Battery area where there are plenty of activities. We stayed on a Braves weekend and appreciated the buzz the game brought to the hotel with all the guests traveling in. Everyone was so friendly! Furthermore the service was fantastic at this hotel. Just to name a few Ariana, Marlo, and Lilian were exceptional (sorry if I spelled their names wrong!). Ariana was always around to answer questions, Marlo took us on the shuttle when we were in a pinch and needed a ride to make a movie, and Lillian was great at the hotel bar. Thanks everyone! Can’t wait to come back!

Advanced reserved room with Balcony wasn’t available, even though I called day before and day of to make sure our room was reserved. NO outlets/chargers AT ALL by our bed side - both sides! Not even behind the bed or sofa. Shower didn’t work properly/had hair on the bottles, dead bug crushed on ceiling, no ice bucket. Sink doesn’t work properly. No carts to carry bags through a hallway of 20 rooms as they put us allllll the way in the back. She said there was a cart somewhere but didn’t care to help or find it after we traveled all day and nobody cared that we didn’t get the room we reserved. The Bar personnel are very nice, breakfast was pretty good.

I stayed at this hotel for one night while road-tripping with my two teenagers. The hotel itself is beautiful, the room was clean, the pool was nice with convenient hours, and one of the biggest perks was the complimentary overnight EV charging, which fully charged my vehicle by morning. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing enough that it overshadowed what should have been a simple overnight stay. After an eight-hour drive, we checked in, unpacked all of our belongings, and my kids changed to go enjoy the pool. As I was heading out to join them, I discovered that our room door would not latch shut. It could be pushed open without a key, which is a serious safety and security issue for both guests and their belongings. Since we had already unpacked, we now had to move everything to another room. I went downstairs to report the issue and found a line of about seven people waiting to check in with only one employee working the front desk. A manager walked by, saw the growing line, but never stepped in to help, so the wait was much longer than it needed to be. When I finally reached the desk, the response was underwhelming. The seriousness of the door not locking didn’t seem to be acknowledged, and the interaction felt more like an inconvenience than concern for guest safety. I was initially told I needed to pack everything, come back downstairs for new keys, and then return upstairs. I had to explain why that made no sense considering the original room wasn’t secure anyway. Only then was I given the key to the new room before moving our belongings. What concerned me even more was that, despite reporting the safety issue and changing rooms because of it, the original room was not immediately taken out of service. That was disappointing. The following morning, I tried to grab a quick breakfast before getting back on the road. There was no breakfast menu available online, and the only employee working the bar area disappeared for about ten minutes. I stood there waiting just to ask for a menu, which again reflected the lack of staffing and attention to guests. One final observation: the common areas of the hotel were uncomfortably warm. It was noticeably hot throughout the lobby and other shared spaces. Overall, this is a hotel with a lot of potential. It’s attractive, clean, has a nice pool, and the free overnight EV charging is an outstanding amenity. However, the combination of being understaffed, the poor handling of a significant room safety issue, and the lack of urgency or customer service made this a much more frustrating stay than it should have been.

I have been an IHG Rewards members for 15+ years, and this was our first stay at Hotel Indigo Vinings. Unfortunately, it will also be our last. We came to Atlanta because my Grandmother had been placed in hospice care. During such a difficult time, we wanted a hotel that would be comfortable and convenient to our family. While the location was convenient, the stay was anything but comfortable. What was never disclosed before we arrived was that the hotel is actively undergoing renovations. Construction was taking place throughout multiple areas of the property. We were woken up by construction noise on several mornings, one of the elevators had been stripped down to insulation while still in service with an expired inspection certificate on top of that, the hallways and common areas were warm, our floor did not have a working ice machine, and the pool area was in rough shape with cracked decking, worn chairs, and maintenance taking place around it. Had we known the extent of the renovations, we would have chosen another hotel. The room itself was comfortable, and on our first morning breakfast was very good. Even with a film crew taking over the lobby and restaurant area and being asked to keep our voices down while they filmed, the service was decent, the food was excellent, and I left a generous tip. The next two mornings were a completely different experience. The second morning, my son and I sat waiting while other guests who arrived after us were greeted, given menus, and served first. We eventually had to flag down our server just to get menus and drinks, and our food came out after everyone else’s. The third morning was even more upsetting. The same server again walked right past us. Two other parties, both white, were seated after we were and immediately greeted and given menus while we continued sitting there without so much as an acknowledgment. I finally stopped the server and said, “Excuse me, we were here before both of these tables and haven’t even been greeted or given menus.” She was dismissive and said, “Oh, sorry, I’ll be right with you,” and then proceeded with another unnecessary wait before eventually bringing us menus. After the same thing happened two mornings in a row, it no longer felt like an oversight. It was clearly was intentional. I went to the front desk and spoke with the manager on duty. She was kind, listened to my concerns, apologized, and helped arrange for our breakfast to be packaged to go. I appreciated how she handled the situation, but it did not change what had happened. It’s incredibly disappointing that during a trip to spend precious time with my Grandmother in hospice, we also had to deal with discriminatory treatment in the restaurant. Between the undisclosed renovations, the poor condition of several hotel amenities, and the way we were treated by the restaurant staff, this was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve had as longtime IHG Rewards members. I will not be returning.
