  Great 3 star hotel. Newer hotel, nice lobby/breakfast area. Quiet. Safe. Very clean room and hotel in general. I appreciate the total darkness of the pull-down blinds in tracks. Breakfast was good, enough choices, all presented well. It would be nice to get away from the single serve plastic though. The coffee machines are always available in the lobby; each cup is fresh. Kurig was in my room, but powdered cream and no assortment of sugars, just the cheap plastic prepackaged pink one with napkin and stirrer, so why use it when the full service coffee is better in the lobby.

  I’ve stayed at this establishment several times before, but unfortunately this visit did not meet expectations. Breakfast was very limited — the pancake machine was down, there was no milk or yogurt available, and only gluten-free muffins were offered. Overall, the breakfast experience was disappointing compared to previous stays. After checking in late, we slept until around 10 a.m. and requested housekeeping return later. Unfortunately, no one ever came back to service the room, even after waiting over an hour. We eventually had to request extra towels ourselves. The front desk representative assured me the room would be taken care of, but that never happened. Additionally, the ice machine on the second floor was broken during our stay. Once I returned home and reviewed my bill, I noticed a $6 water amenities charge that I did not authorize. I never purchase items from hotel snack areas because I bring my own. I contacted Gerald, who stated he was the Assistant General Manager, and explained the situation. I asked about the verification procedure for room charges, and he stated guests are supposed to show ID and provide proof of their room number — which obviously did not happen in this case. He did offer 500 points and said he would investigate the matter. I’ve enjoyed previous stays here, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. Please do better.

  Great stay at Holiday Inn Express Atlanta NE - I-85 Clairmont by IHG. I stayed for two nights and everything was very good. The staff was kind and attentive, the included breakfast was well prepared, and the free coffee was a nice touch. Everything was clean and cozy. The location is excellent, close to downtown Atlanta, with many restaurants nearby and just minutes from the aquarium. Definitely worth staying again.
