I have stated this hotel many times for many different conventions. I have to say over the years they have definitely improved all the things that were wrong whenever Wyndham took over this property. As always the jewel of the crown is the pool. The service was good it seems like even the speed of service yet they're very busy Hotel restaurant improved. They also gave us our own alternatives for food during the event by catering food downstairs. I was glad to see the pool gazebo bar being used as well. Keep progressing, Courtland Grand!

Things I liked: Friendly staff The Starbucks on floor 3 The $10 food credit for Starbucks or Restaurant Great room prices Great location Felt at home The pool area is amazing The restaurant's food is right up there with other 4 star hotel restaurants I've been to in other cities. *chef's kiss 💋 * The staff in the restaurant addressed all my questions and concerns before I even had them. Things I disliked: The perfume fog that is blown down the hallways. You can literally see the machine and the fog as it blows out. It made my nose bleed. The fact that the entire hotel was taken over by an XXX fetish/BDSM convention group. The people in the group warned me the night before... it was gonna get weird and uncomfortable. Their group bought out the hotel. They swarmed the place and took over. They were marking the room with "signs" to let you know they were "operating" out if their room. I paid for my room months in advance. Was not a kid or elder friendly environment. I didn't like valet being the only option for parking and having to walk across the street constantly to park in a shady place. I didn't like how expensive the valet was. I had a corner suite that was mostly windows but the view was horrible. I loved the Courtland Grand and hated it all at once. I was embarrassed to tell the locals where I was staying to be honest.

I recently stayed at the hotel and had a mixed experience overall. First, I want to recognize the breakfast staff—they were clearly short-staffed, but still did their absolute best to take care of everyone. Despite the pressure, they remained attentive and worked hard to keep things running smoothly. That level of effort does not go unnoticed, and they truly deserve a 5 for their service. However, there were some concerns that need attention. At the Starbucks inside the hotel, I witnessed a serious hygiene issue. One of the employees used her hand to clear her nose and then continued handling items without washing her hands. That is unacceptable in any food service setting and should be addressed immediately through proper hygiene training. The rooms were okay but could definitely use more detailed cleaning. It wasn’t the worst I’ve seen, but it also didn’t meet the level I would expect. Additionally, the carpets on Level 1 had a noticeable odor that seemed to trigger allergies, which made the environment uncomfortable. There was also a large group of kids attending what appeared to be a prom, and unfortunately, there was not enough adult supervision. The behavior was disruptive at times, and it felt like they were treating the space as if they were at home rather than in a shared hotel environment. Overall, the staff—especially in the breakfast area—did what they could under pressure, and I appreciate that. But cleanliness, hygiene standards, and supervision of large groups need improvement to elevate the overall guest experience.

I had the most terrible experience at this hotel. Day of check in. I receive my key and went to the room. Swipe my key and a woman was sitting down at the desk eating her.food. I had go back to front desk to let them know they already had this room assigned to someone else. They gave me another room, I went to the room and go to the bathroom. The tub was covered up with black stuff in and there was water left in the tub, I went back to front desk. Switch room and when I open the door it double beds instead of the requested king size bed. I went back to front desk and this was final time switching room. This room appeared to look nice and cleaned but woke up this morning roaches were in the bathroom and there a dead roach in the refrigerator.Need to say I got a full refund and left the hotel. I encouraged everyone to read the reviews before you book the hotel because the online pictures is not always what get. I was too frustrated to think to get a picture of the tub that had black stuff in it.

My stay here at Courtland Grand Hotel was not great at all. Me and my girlfriend booked the hotel online for 2 nights, while booking the room it said that 18 and under was considered a child and 19+ was considered an adult, as I am 18 and my girlfriend is 19, we looked at the hotel's policies and even called the hotel multiple times to confirm our stay at the hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel after a 7 hour drive to Atlanta tired from our drive, we went to check in to our room and were told we had to be 21 to check in and that they didn't know how we even booked the room online. I spoke to many employees at the hotel never once got to speak to a general manager, and they told me I could get anyone RANDOM to check in for me, but no one wants to be responsible for people they do not know nor did I want anyone to have to be responsible for us or did I want to ask random people in ATLANTA I did not know. We had to sit in their lobby for 8 hours while I had a family member drive 7 hours to Atlanta to get us to check in. This was a misunderstanding on both parts but still very stressful and inconsiderate of the hotel despite me showing them their policies and no where on the website did it say we had to be 21 to check in. This was not the end though, the valet parking is extremely overpriced, $60 a night, as you are already spending over $200 to stay at this hotel, and they act like its a huge deal when you want to get your car back even if you come and leave a few times, even though they take your car. The lobby, pool area, and social area look amazing, then you go up the floors to rooms and it looks awful, paint peeling off walls and the elevator sounded awful like it was going to break. The rooms were nice and clean, but the doors to the bathroom were sliding doors that were open 2 inches all the way around with a lousy lock. In total to stay for 2 nights (fri-sunday) over $700 including valet which is RIDICULOUS, there so many better hotels around Atlanta that look much better than this place, it does not look like the photos they share online. Don't expect them to do anything about people being loud in the hallways either!! During this weekend, there were DECA internationals going on, around 23,000 students in Atlanta, and quite a few groups staying at the Courtland Grand Hotel. There were kids sitting at my door screaming, yelling, laughing, running down the halls. I understand that they are in groups with their friends, they were just coming back from a conference I believe, but not even the teachers told them to be quiet. I had to call the front desk TWICE, with the first call they asked me "What do you want us to do?" What do you think I want you to do??! To get them to ask these children to be quite in the halls around 11 p.m. Security came up after the second call and told them their quiet hours were 11p.m to 6 a.m, which that is wrong, it is 10 p.m to 6 a.m, they did not enforce that they needed to either go to a social floor or go into their rooms, they just said they needed to finish up and go somewhere else. Luckily they did disperse and go to their rooms. The rooms barely have any noise cancelling either, I expect to hear cars going by and other noises outside as it is a city, but to hear footsteps and people talking at an inside voice like they are inside of your room is sucky.
