Samuel was amazing at helping me! The entire experience was due to an emergency and everybody at this hotel was great and helped me stay status quo. I always love a HIE and this one definitely did not disappoint. Thank you!

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Wrongful $375 Tow Charge and Removal from Holiday Inn Express Alpharetta Windward Parkway To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting a formal complaint regarding my family’s stay at the Holiday Inn Express Alpharetta Windward Parkway and the conduct of General Manager Samuel O. Djan. We believe we were wrongfully charged $375 for a towing service that never occurred and were later removed from the hotel after requesting proof of the charge. When we checked in on August 5, 2026, our stay began without issue. The front desk associate was professional and courteous. Prior to this incident, my husband spoke with Samuel by phone regarding our truck. My husband explained that it would be moved no later than August 1, 2026. Samuel agreed that this would resolve the matter. He never mentioned a towing company, towing fees, service charges, invoices, or money owed. We honored that agreement and moved the truck ourselves by August 1. Later, the front desk associate informed my husband that Samuel intended to charge us $375 because our truck had allegedly been towed. This was false. Our truck was never towed. The front desk associate even confirmed that she remembered us moving it ourselves. Throughout August 5, Samuel refused to meet with us, repeatedly stating he was “in a conference” and communicating only through the front desk associate. We did not speak with him in person until the morning of August 6. During that meeting, Samuel again demanded $375. When it became clear the truck had never been towed, he changed his explanation, claiming the charge was simply because a towing company had been called. This raised obvious questions. If he had agreed we could move the truck by August 1, why was a tow company called at all? Why were we initially told the truck had been towed? Samuel also requested that we pay him directly in cash. We were never allowed to speak with the towing company or pay them directly. We repeatedly requested proof, including an invoice and documentation showing what service was performed, but none was provided. The discussion became heated after we repeatedly requested evidence. My husband called Samuel a “sucker” and challenged him to step outside. While we acknowledge that his language was inappropriate, it occurred only after we believed we were being pressured to pay for a service that never occurred. Shortly afterward, Samuel canceled our reservation, claiming he felt threatened. We believe this was done in retaliation after we questioned the disputed charge. We respectfully request that IHG investigate this matter by: • Reviewing hotel surveillance footage to determine whether any tow truck ever hooked up to or moved our vehicle. • Obtaining the towing company’s invoice and dispatch records. • Determining whether any billable service was actually performed. • Explaining why we were first told the truck had been towed, then later told the charge was only for a tow company response. • Explaining why Samuel requested cash payment directly to him. • Explaining why he approved our plan to move the truck by August 1, then attempted to charge us after we complied. The facts are simple: Samuel agreed we could move the truck by August 1; we did exactly that; our truck was never towed; the front desk associate confirmed we moved it ourselves; Samuel changed his explanation for the charge; requested cash payment; and we were removed from the hotel after asking for proof. We respectfully request a full corporate investigation and a fair resolution. Sincerely, Kimberly Brassell

Wonderful room and stay. The rooms are spacious, clean, and smell great. The breakfast was wonderful! I’m always weary about hotel breakfast but you can tell the manager cares about it and his whole hotel. Samuel, the manager, is a delightful person to talk to and very helpful. This was a work trip, but I’ll definitely be coming back for personal vacations.

We loved everything about our stay! The breakfast was amazing, and Carlo, who was in charge of the breakfast area, was incredibly kind, helpful, and kept everything spotless. Our girls were very comfortable, and the hotel was conveniently located close to everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!
