Recent trip with family. Don’t get me wrong, my grandchildren were over the moon about staying here…I just think this hotel needs a facelift. It’s showing the million miles of wear and tear. It wasn’t dirty, it’s just that it wasn’t as clean as I thought it would be for the prices they charge….edge of carpet was dirty, dust embedded in the mirror edges, side lights askew and barely hanging on, paint chipped off the tub….I feel like it’s the little things that make the difference in nice vs so so.
The hotel has a nice family style breakfast included with your stay. The breakfast was good and service was great.
It was definitely a positive to be able to walk out of the hotel and be in either theme park in less than 5 minutes. Super convenient!
On a side note….
Be aware that at check out you will be responsible for an additional parking fee of $33/day. This is not a valet fee, it’s a fee for self parking and using the hotels parking lot. 😳
The vending machines are fully stocked on each floor but they were out of order the entire time we were there. No where to get a cold drink or bottled water except at the front desk at a higher price. Reported but they only said they were aware. 🤔
The safe in our room was out of order…low battery. Reported but it was never repaired. 🙄

The Hotel is "okay" but I have to wonder if the people in charge have kids themselves.
First the whole entire hotel including the room is carpet. In a hotel that is designed for very young children. The first room they gave us the entire hallway and especially our room smelled like stale urine. When we switched rooms it was better but the hallway still smelled a little.
Second even for a theme hotel the food is expensive. $40 per adult for dinner and $16 for children. I can eat at a steakhouse for less and I did. It's not really particularly WORTH what they are charging.
Third and this is about really the entire Lego Resort not just the hotel but again. Designed for small children. Who wake up early. Breakfast is at 7 and then the park doesn't open until 10 and nothing going on between the 2 times.
4th more of a Legoland thing but there's really not much going on. You can do all the rides and attractions including Peppah Pig by 1230 if it's a slow day. There is really no random encounters with Lego people. There's like 1 Meet and Greet every few hours. Same at hotel there's only 1 Lego guy at 6pm by the front door.
We are local and went during the week so it was okay. But we found ourselves with not much to do allot of the time. There's a lot of dead space and there's nothing anywhere around here to fill it with and if you come when it's busy I can't imagine waiting in 1 or 2 hours lines for most of these rides. The new coaster is AMAZING but its a 40 second ride so that was kind of a bummer.
I would absolutely not recommend traveling from out of state to come here unless your also doing something else as you may find yourself disappointed.
I will say the staff have all been great. No issues. I just think they need more activities and or stuff going on idk. That's just my humble opinion.

Theming is top notch but rooms could have been cleaner and the staff was utterly useless. We had a couple good encounters, but the first few people we met were unhelpful and downright wrong about a few things we asked questions about (pool hours, where to get our room key). It seems like they know they don’t need to try because they’ll always have willing LEGO-loving customers

Had a great stay at LEGOLAND Pirate Island Hotel! The pirate theme was a huge hit with the kids and made the whole experience feel special. Everything was clean, well organized, and very family-friendly.
Big bonus, the park wait times were never more than about 15 minutes, which made the trip so much more enjoyable. Overall an easy, fun vacation and definitely worth it

The hotel nightly activities for kids were amazing, apple juice replensihment for room, family-breakfast, valet experience and kid's corner of the room were all positives for this stay. Sad the treasure hunt is now just the first day Vs daily like it used to be. Every hotel employee was very friendly. Creative workshop was awesome, glad to have received a sign-up email for this. "The Wizard" text option for updates and help was very useful for the stay (Kudos)
Quite a handful of issues experienced, that shouldn't exist for the value placed on this stay/experience. Experience wasn't worth the value paid due to the following:
- Very low water pressure and it takes a VERY long time to get hot water running (Room 576)
- No dressers or designated space for kid's clothing (just hangers for adults)
- Faulty light bulbs, they flicker and don't come on sometimes (Room 576)
- Very little counter space in bathroom for rooms designed to have parents and at least 2 kids
- Microwave was extremely dirty for the first 3 days (until I asked for it to be cleaned up. I feel like housekeeping should monitor microwave and clean up as needed)
- Body wash was out as of the second day and was never replenished until we left (4-14 to 4-18 stay). Thankfully we brought some
- Pirate Island pool remained closed, while Lego hotel pool was severely crowded due to this unexplained closure.
There was a very rude lady who was stationed at the "prize every tune stand" beside the dragon dip on 4/15 and 4/16 (morning hours); she shouldn't be interacting kids nor adults, needs to work behind the scenes. Wouldn't even look at anyone speaking to her, constantly on the phone.
