I booked a stay at LEGOLAND Florida Hotel from April 21st–23rd to celebrate my son’s 7th birthday, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. We specifically chose this destination because of the attractions and family experience that was advertised, but more than 90% of the rides and food shacks were closed during our visit. On top of that, the entire water section was completely closed as well. For a family spending money to celebrate a special occasion, this was extremely frustrating and honestly took away from my son’s birthday experience. There should have been clearer communication before booking or checking in about how many attractions and food areas would not be operating. Had we known the majority of the park amenities would be unavailable, we would have reconsidered our travel plans. The hotel itself was nice, and the staff we encountered were polite, but the overall experience did not match the expectations or cost of the trip. I hope management improves transparency for future guests, especially families traveling for birthdays and special celebrations.

We stayed on the fifth floor with a pool view. The rooms are very basic no tables and chairs to sit at or have any kind of meal. All of our belongings ended up on a ironing board. The room attendant didn’t leave towels or toilet tissue and we had to retrieve those downstairs from the very nice staff three times. Yes, we stayed for a week so that was necessary for four people to have toilet tissue every day. We got our week from Black Friday deals. If it was a regular price I would absolutely say it’s not worth it. Everything sort of rundown and they give you a list of what you’re gonna be charged if you steal the toilet tissue holder or ironing board, etc. Downstairs the breakfast is buffet all you can eat style 15 or $25 per person. No other breakfast is available until the park is open at 10 and then you can go into the coffee shop, which is great. They do have the skyline Café, however chicken tenders and burgers for a week is exhaustive so you do leave the park.

Honestly...from start to finish it was a hot nightmare. Our family is obsessed with legos, and although our son kinda had fun...for what we paid...I would've rather bought a bunch of lego sets and stayed home. Also, we rode a total of 0 rides. Everything was down. Will try Legoland NY next time.

Today is the final day of our trip, and I had promised my children they could pick out souvenirs at our hotel before we leave. Unfortunately, we do not have park tickets for today, and what followed was an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience. Your hotel staff and manager was extremely rude and unhelpful. I was told that the only way to access a souvenir that we wanted at the hotel gift shop was to purchase a $125 park ticket, which would be refunded seven days later—just so I could buy my son a $15 souvenir from our trip. There was no willingness to offer an alternative solution or show any empathy toward a visibly upset and disappointed child. This was from your staff and the manager. To make matters worse, the hotel gift shop was closed for inventory DURING business hours with no prior notice. This is unacceptable. Closing a primary guest amenity during operating hours without communication to guests, and then responding to hotel guests with such disregard, reflects very poorly on your hotel. To summarize… I couldn’t buy a Lego souvenir from the Legoland hotel for my child because your incompetent staff doesn’t understand that doing inventory during business hours is bad practice. So my child didn’t get a LEGO souvenir from LEGOLAND! And ZERO empathy or willingness to help from your rude staff and manager. This interaction was, without question, the rudest and most disappointing experience I have ever had as a hotel guest. Based on this experience, we will not be returning, and we will be taking our future family vacations elsewhere. Teach your staff to do better.

We made our reservation directly with Legoland Florida. We reserved two Ninjago rooms for 3 days (April 2nd – 5th) and were told they would be connecting. Upon arrival we were told they do not have connecting rooms. So we assumed the rooms would be next to each other or across the hall from each other. We arrived around 7 pm to find out that our rooms were not near each other and were at opposite ends of the building. They were as far apart as you could possibly be! Room 334 and room 303! How is this possible when you reserve and pay for two rooms on a single reservation! When I requested our rooms be moved closer together I was told there were no other rooms available. They told me to text them at 11 am, and they would contact housekeeping to see if our rooms could be moved. Again we were told that no new rooms were available. BUT, I witnessed 3 DIFFERENT FAMILIES MOVE INTO NEW EMPTY ROOMS, two of which were very close to one of our rooms. They could have easily moved one of our rooms. Each day we were there, I asked for our room to be moved closer, each day I was told there were no other rooms available, and again I saw new families move into empty rooms! Customer service was extremely lacking! We were continually being told they were sorry, and never even tried to offer any compensation for our inconvenience. One of our rooms were senior citizens (grandparents, one handicapped) in their seventies who had to walk all the way from one end of the building to the other to enjoy time with their grandchildren. The theming of the rooms is excellent as well as the breakfast (which is an outside company.) I would avoid the Legoland Hotel Florida, save your money and stay across the street! It’s very disheartening to spend a very large amount of money and be treated so poorly. Will never stay here again.
