The floor of the room was sticky but otherwise clean. The hot water was finicky. The AC unit is loud. The eggs were like plastic. Let's call the experience nostalgic.

I got a great deal online and we only planned to stay for 1 night (leaving on a cruise from Port Canaveral), so I took a chance and booked. The hotel is older, BUT everything was very nice! The location is perfect for cruisers. The staff was friendly and efficient. The rooms are clean and updated inside with new furniture and bedding. We had a mini fridge and microwave in our room which is convenient. The room was a good size for our family of 4 (2 kids, 2 adults). The free breakfast was much better than I expected (waffles, eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, fruit, pastries, coffee, juice). I'm not sure what the poor reviews were in reference to - possibly expectations were unreasonable. I paid for a "budget" hotel and got better/more than I expected. If you're looking for a 5 star luxury motel, you should plan to pay for that and you shouldn't book this place. If you're looking for a reasonably priced, clean, convenient, safe place to stay, this is a wonderful option.
