  This is a great hotel right on a lake with fishing. everyone is very friendly and well run.

  Stayed here overnight. Called the hotel just a few hours in advance and they got the room ready for us and the dogs. Makeda was great! Nice size rooms. Beautiful territory. Good hot breakfast. Will definitely come back!

  We have been coming to Tallahassee for the past 4 years for our daughter at FSU. This is by far the nicest hotel we have stayed in yet in the area. The rooms are clean and spacious. Please forgive me for butchering her name but Makeeda at the front desk was amazing, funny and very helpful. The location is a bit out of the way but we'll worth it and pet friendly. I'm staying here from now on if it's available!

  The staff were very kind and welcoming, but unfortunately my overall experience was disappointing. When I arrived, my room still had trash from the previous guest in the trash can, along with a food box that appeared to mention pecans. I have a severe nut allergy, so I was not comfortable touching or disposing of it. My room was also never cleaned during my entire four-night stay. My bed was never made, the trash was never emptied, and the only housekeeping service I received was fresh towels. I was working long hours every day and tried to contact the front desk through the hotel’s texting service, but it was unavailable. There were also cleanliness issues throughout the room. I noticed what appeared to be dirt, rust, or possibly mold on areas such as the lamps, doorknobs, appliances, and tables. I can’t say for certain what it was or whether it could have been cleaned, but it was visibly unpleasant and not what I expected from a hotel of this standard. There was also a strange smell when I first entered the room, so I ended up disinfecting the room and using my own air freshener to make it more comfortable. I had originally planned to stay here again August 16th–20th, but after this experience, I decided not to rebook. I was expecting a clean and comfortable place to stay, especially since I was there for work and had planned on spending several nights at the hotel. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and lack of housekeeping fell far below my expectations. The staff themselves were very nice and professional, so I don’t have anything negative to say about the people I interacted with. The location is convenient if you’re traveling on I-10 since the hotel is right off the interstate. However, it is fairly far from most restaurants, shopping, and other things to do, so you should expect to drive about 15–20 minutes to get to most places. Overall, I unfortunately cannot recommend staying here based on my experience.

  This hotel was absolutely perfect for our needs. Ms. Makeda checked us in and her cheerful attitude, smile, and genuine care for making us feel comfortable was beyond wonderful. The hotel was finishing social hour which was delicious and the few snacks we chose to have were enough to tide us over for the night as we were very tired after a long day of driving. The staff had a freezer with ice in ziplock bags to use in our coolers in the morning, but we didn't even need that because the full (clean!) kitchen in our room worked great and the freezer quickly froze our icepacks. The room had all we needed; the bed and pillows were very comfortable, tv huge with lots of stations, hot water for the shower, and fluffy towels. Quiet halls, and working AC. Breakfast bar is incredible! Delicious coffee, plus hot eggs, oatmeal, potatoes... bagels, toast, muffins, cereal, fruit... they have it all and the dining area is spotless and beautifully decorated. In short, this place is excellent. More importantly to us, the staff is amazing. Makeda - such a blessing. Please pass on our thanks to her. If I owned a company I would do all I could to hire her away. She is a gem. Thanks for making our stay great :)
