  We just returned home from our weekend getaway to St. Petersburg West. Although we arrived a bit earlier than the 3:00 PM check-in time, we were greeted warmly and taken care of quickly, which was much appreciated. Once we got to our room, we noticed that the light-filtering shade was not clean and had a noticeable stain. The rest of the room was as expected—nothing fancy, but comfortable enough. The bathroom was clean overall; however, the shower floor could have used a deeper cleaning, as it would benefit from a little extra attention. It would also be nice if the hotel provided a few more towels. There was only one set per person (there were just two of us), and having an extra bath towel available would have been a nice touch. Yesterday, before checkout, I noticed that I had been charged twice for our stay. Before leaving, I stopped at the front desk to report the issue. Heidi, who had also checked us in and was very sweet, handled the situation professionally and looked into it right away. Although I had to call again the next morning because the issue hadn’t yet been resolved, I spoke with Heidi again and she assured me that the credit has now been processed. I will be keeping an eye on my account to confirm the refund. Overall, it was a nice stay

  The rooms initially appear to be fine. Unfortunately, after doing 15 minutes of yoga, my child’s feet were completely black. Laying in bed I could hear the neighbors urinating. Then we noticed the tub was very poorly refurbished. Trim is literally falling off. Caulking looks like a two year-old finger painted it in. Electrical outlets were flimsy and moving around in the wall. The shower head was speckled green. The proximity to Tropicana Field was nice.

  The outside and lobby have been renovated, but the hallway and room are disgusting. The mattress was filthy, with yellow stains, and everything just felt neglected and gross. The pictures are completely misleading — never again, and this was also my last time at Holiday Inn.

  I stayed at this hotel with my family for one night, and I must say it was a very clean and pleasant place to stay. The bed was neatly made and smelled fresh, which made it even more comfortable. Check-in was quick and easy, and the receptionist was very kind and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back to stay here the next time I’m in St. Petersburg!
