Fabulous Hotel Opening Team !
I enjoyed my stay and felt home away from home. The hotel was a major enjoyment during my stay in Sarasota. A thank you to the entire Team (Front Office, Housekeeping, Enginering and F&B). All did a great job ! Barb (Director of Sales), Imana, Stefanie, Hana and Jackie (Front Office), Brian (Engineering). Pito and the restaurant chef/ supervisor (Latin) always helpful.
A special thank you to Careen Foss (Operations Incharge) who was always there for us, very professional and friendly. Quite sure she absorbs both guest and operational chalenges, turning them into success stories.
It is not just a hotel, but a key attraction in the city of Sarasota. Overall, our stay at the Staybridge Sarasota was indeed a memorable one !
Keep it up/ Sherif

An exceptional stay in Sarasota! Highly recommended! 🌟This hotel completely exceeded our expectations and is perfect for both short getaways and longer stays. The rooms are incredibly functional and comfortable, featuring a fully equipped kitchen and an in-room laundry unit, which made our trip so much easier. The amenities are top-notch: a fantastic, clean swimming pool perfect for relaxing, and a well-equipped fitness center to keep up with your routine. One of the highlights was the hot breakfast included every morning—delicious, fresh, and with great variety. To top it all off, the staff was excellent; their warm hospitality and attentiveness made us feel welcome from the moment we checked in. We will definitely be back!

My family has been coming to the Sarasota area from Orlando several times a year for the past 15 years. We usually stay closer to the beach, but since this was a last-minute trip and our usual hotel was full, we decided to try this newer Staybridge Suites location.
I’ll start with the positives. The location is convenient to I-75, UTC, restaurants, and shopping, and the property itself was very clean. The bed was also extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended.
As an IHG member, I expect better, especially from a Staybridge Suites, a brand that markets itself as a “home away from home” for travelers and extended stays. The staff at this hotel were, without question, the least welcoming I’ve encountered in my extensive travels.
Check-in was cold and impersonal. Throughout our three-night stay, not once were we greeted when coming or going. The front desk staff would simply stare at us without so much as a hello.
The checkout experience was even worse. The front desk associate working that morning (black female) never greeted us, never asked how our stay was, and acted as though we were inconveniencing her simply by checking out. After we drove away, I realized my son had accidentally left his phone in the room. When I returned and asked for a key so we could retrieve it, she sighed and visibly looked annoyed as she reluctantly made a new key, and dropped it on the counter without even making eye contact or saying a word. It was clear that she hates her job.
Hospitality is a customer service industry. Guests shouldn’t feel like they’re a burden for checking in, checking out, or asking for help retrieving a forgotten item. If interacting with guests is that much of an inconvenience, this simply isn’t the right role.
The location and cleanliness cannot make up for consistently poor customer service. We won’t be staying at this property again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for the welcoming experience that IHG hotels typically provide.
