It's a Best Western not the Ritz. It is clean, comfortable and has recently been remodled. It's fairly quiet, there was a very welcome pool( if you ask they have been known to extend pool hours if you keep the noise down. It is paid parking $25 a night. But once we parked we never moved the car again. Because this place has so much going on around it all within easy walking distance. Food, shopping, entertainment and museums. We would go out in the morning exploring and getting breakfast in the heat of the day we were back using the pool and then back out later in the afternoon. It's right across the street from the bay so you get a great view from the balcony. And its a short walk over to the docks if you book a sunset cruise.

Stayed one night (Saturday). Upon arrival I was charged an additional $25 for use of their parking lot, and informed No refunds for noise which i found odd as it was quiet when we arrived. Saturday night we laid in bed and listened to the bass rattle the AC unit until the early morning, the toilet "scream" as it periodically refilled with water, and the blinds with no curtains that didnt quite close completely. The location was great, walking distance to St. George Street. If we had intended to go to clubs until close the noise wouldn't have been an issue. I feel disclaimers should be listed online regarding additional parking fees and noise. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. I realize they can't do much about music from other buildings, but feel it is an issue.

Greeted by Julie when we checked in at the front desk. She was wonderful and very helpful. She was able to get us into a room right away. The location is right in the heart of historic downtown St. Augustine so everywhere was waking distance. Close to local shops and eateries. Rooms were very up to date. We went to the pool for a couple of hours and it was very peaceful. If you are looking for somewhere to stay this is definitely the place. Right across the street from the Harbour too.

I have debated on posting this review but as my experience could have cost me dearly I feel like it’s best to warn others.
Things seemed great initially, checking was smooth, even with paying for parking that would have been cheaper had I used city parking.
The room looked great. Until paying attention to detail.
I noticed the shower grout on the bottom was coming apart where it meets the wall but I didn’t think much of it until I was in the shower and the drain would not drain. Having to stand in a puddle of your own filth aside, I learned the hard way that the shower door was not sealed properly and had covered the bathroom floor with water which I slipped on but luckily caught myself before my head hit the wall. What scares me is I’m 28 with good reflexes, what of the older population that enjoy Saint Augustine?
There is also no hot water in the sink, weird way to save money but okay.
**The most disturbing and potentially dangerous aspect of my stay was returning to my room an hour before checkout to find my door opened and an employee near by opening rooms where people may or may not have checked out. I didn’t checkout yet so all of my valuables were in the room that was left opened (cracked).
I was fortunate to not have anything stolen but the fact that it could have happened was unacceptable.
When I checked out I asked the front desk “is it customary to do room checks before checkout? When we got back our room was open”
The woman sighed and said no, and apologized. But her reaction gave the impression that this has been a problem in the past.
Moral of the story: stay at your own risk. Your own risk and the risk of your belongings.
I had another hotel booked the night before and while it was cheaper and a little further from town but it had much better air quality, free shuttle, bathrooms that didn’t post as a threat to my health & no one leaving my door open with my belongings inside.
