  Beware of what you're being billed for. I was charged for amenities that weren't used. Check in is at 4pm leaving you NO time to settle in and enjoy any of the attractions they offer because some of them close at 6pm and the rest at 7pm. They have a convenient store within the grounds. A bit costly but it is what it is. At check in registration was full but the employee was nice. Rooms aren't as clean as they should be. That needs much attention. The room had a strong smell of humidity. I had to air it out and spray lysol. Check out was fine. I saw some charges on my final bill and had to call them. I was over charged and they weren't willing to speak with me. I kept getting transferred from one person to another. Really annoying... But it's all good. I'll take the lost and we definitely won't be staying here again. It's disappointing because all in all the place appears to be a nice place.

  “Estoy extremadamente decepcionada con el trato que he recibido por parte de esta compañía. Llevo días escribiendo correos, enviando pruebas de mis intentos de cancelación y tratando de obtener una respuesta, pero absolutamente nadie responde. Es una falta de respeto total hacia los clientes. Desde el principio sentí mucha presión durante la venta y después, cuando intenté resolver la situación, simplemente me ignoraron. He enviado evidencia, he llamado varias veces y sigo sin recibir ninguna solución ni explicación. Ya sinceramente no sé qué más hacer para que me hagan caso y me den una respuesta clara. Estamos hablando de una compra importante y una empresa seria debería atender a sus clientes, no desaparecer cuando surgen problemas. Me siento frustrada, engañada y abandonada por esta compañía. Espero que otras personas investiguen muy bien antes de firmar cualquier cosa con ellos.”

  Durante mi visita a Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo tuve una experiencia extremadamente decepcionante. Durante la presentación de ventas, la agente Sabrina me presionó constantemente y me hizo sentir prácticamente obligado a comprar un tiempo compartido sin explicarme claramente toda la información importante del contrato. Después de llegar a casa e investigar más, me di cuenta de muchas cosas que no fueron transparentes durante la venta. Lo más frustrante es que intenté cancelar dentro del tiempo permitido. Llamé múltiples veces, envié correos electrónicos y dejé mensajes, pero nunca recibí respuesta de nadie. Siento que ignoraron mis intentos intencionalmente hasta que expirara el período de cancelación. Toda esta experiencia me hizo sentir engañado, presionado y muy arrepentido de haber confiado en esta compañía. Recomiendo a cualquiera que tenga muchísimo cuidado antes de firmar cualquier documento con ellos y que investigue muy bien antes de aceptar una compra.”

  Do not book through Air BNB, you will be treated like crap by the employees and managers at Westgate River Ranch. I asked the concierge desk if we had to wait in the huge line to check in if we had booked through Air BNB and she said yes, then when we got through the line, the guy said we didn’t have to check in with them. They wouldn’t even tell me where the unit was located, they wouldn’t tell me how to get access to the pool and they wouldn’t tell me how to rent a golf cart. They said I had to contact the owner of my unit for any questions. We met other guests that had booked through Air BNB and they said they were treated the same way.

  We camped in a platform tent last weekend and would NOT recommend it. While it was nice to have a tent set up, which was clean, the "campground" is a field with several tents clustered under each tree (which at least provided some shade). However, there was no camping etiquette whatsoever-- noisy people, music and children playing loudly until 1 a.m., with a break until 2 a.m. when several adults were talking, laughing and coughing loudly until after 3 a.m. Lights in the trees shone into the tent. There was absolutely no suggestion or enforcement of quiet hours by River Ranch at all-- very disappointing. Be aware that there is a skeet shooting range just across from the "campground", so you get to hear shooting during the day, mooing cows on the other side, church bells and traffic. On top of that, there is a mandatory "RESORT FEE" for tent camping- so over $110 per night for this unpleasant experience regardless of whether you use the pool and water park, petting zoo, adventure park?, which we did not. This might be good for families (if you don't need any sleep), but not for adults. By the way, the email said the resort fee was for a hotel stay- not for tent camping- so does not even seem legal. So, in summary, this is an expensive experience which I personally would not recommend. If you want to camp in nature, this is not the place.
