Disney has lost its magic. It used to be worth the premium price….maybe. Now, it’s just way overpriced. The food is average. The service is great from those getting your mandatory gratuity but everyone else is indifferent and many can care less about your experience. Just returned on the Fantasy. We got to Castaway Cay and they made us wait all day on the beach frying in the sun. Hundreds of crying children all wondering why they couldn’t go in the ocean. We sat all day. No information no explanation other than “wildlife” in the water. Maybe a barracuda or small reef shark. The adult beach was open but they don’t let kids go there. Maybe they should have opened it for the day for the families.

I wish my trip didn't suck because it was expensive as heck. This is a carnival cruise with Disney characters on it. Not worth paying double or triple a regular cruise unless you really utilize the daycare (kids club).

We just finished our first ever cruise & so glad we chose Disney Cruise Line! We did a 4 night, 5 day cruise on the Fantasy to the Bahamas & Disney's Lookout Cay to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. It was exceptional from start to finish! Starting with onboarding & debarking - such a smooth, organized, & quick process. We ended up able to board early, our luggage was delivered  promptly, & our room was ready at 2 PM as promised. On our last day we did the express walk off & it took 8 minutes from leaving the ship to arriving to the parking garage. I was so impressed! Our room was clean, comfortable, spacious, & the different towel animals each day were a cute touch. I liked that the shower and toilet were separate- made getting ready for each day easier/quicker. I was surprised at how good the water pressure was (wasn't sure what to expect! lol). We did buy a case of water for our room which was pricey but worth it imo. The cruise had such an array of places to eat, the sit down restaurants were beautiful, and plenty of adults only areas and activities. I also appreciated the fountain drinks, tea, & coffee were always available. The hosts we came across were so fun, high energy, and honestly, hilarious! A few to shout out: Andy, Jonae, Megan, & the gentleman who taught the Mixology class! The serving team was phenomenal (Ketut, Bee). Both the Aladdin & Frozen shows were excellent. I was so impressed with the vocals! We also enjoyed two excursions, the adults only pools, hot tub, & fireworks. The only minor critiques I have are a) the adults only pool on the uppermost deck closed a little too early imo (6/6:30 PM) and b) I wish it was a little more clear which food & beverage items, outside of the breakfast buffet & dinner restaurants, cost additional Every staff member from housekeeping, restaurants, guest services, etc. was kind, professional, knowledgeable, & helpful. Guest Services was so helpful on Day 1 giving us a crash course on the app & how to find our way around the ship. The app was so useful! Overall, we specifically booked Disney Cruise Line anticipating a certain standard of service and experience and they delivered. We've already put down a placeholder for a future cruise!
