We are IHG Gold members, which simply means we spend a lot of nights at Holiday Inn properties as we travel throughout the country. Over the years, we have stayed at many different locations, but the Holiday Inn Express in Perry, Florida, has become our absolute favorite.
What makes this location so special is the staff. The hotel is always clean and well cared for, but it is the genuine kindness, professionalism, and personal attention from the staff that keeps bringing us back. They don't simply make us feel like guests—they make us feel like part of the Holiday Inn family.
Teri at the front desk is always incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Whenever we have a question or concern, she goes out of her way to help and makes us feel that our needs truly matter.
The housekeeping staff deserves special recognition as well. Not only do they consistently do an excellent job keeping the rooms clean and comfortable, but they have also demonstrated an exceptional level of honesty and care.
On one occasion, we accidentally left some valuable belongings behind in our room. The housekeeping staff realized what had happened and actually rushed out into traffic, trying to catch us at the red light so they could return our belongings. As it turned out, we were stopping at that very corner to get gas, which made it possible for them to reunite us with our valuables. Their willingness to go that extra mile—especially when they certainly didn't have to—is something we will never forget.
In all our travels throughout this great nation, we have never encountered a Holiday Inn staff as professional, trustworthy, caring, and genuinely committed to their guests as the team at the Perry, Florida, location.
We wish every Holiday Inn location could have a team like this. They have set an incredibly high standard for hospitality, and they are a wonderful reflection of what the Holiday Inn brand can be at its very best.
Thank you to the entire Perry team for consistently making our stays feel like we're coming home. You are truly appreciated!

Employee entered room with do not disturb sign up while I was at work. Returned to find out she removed my wallet that was inside a box she assumed was trash she said and took it upon herself to remove it "cleaning the room". And didn't even fully clean, straight refolded a dirty towel and hung it back on the to use rack. When confronted, manager won't even look at the cameras to see who might have taken down the do not disturb sign. Cleaning lady she removed the box from room personaly, the box might still be in the dumpster you better go get it. Manager obviously agreed with her. They said they were going to call the police department, still haven't heard anything yet. Some virtual HR person says they will look into it. Of course I also won't hear anything until I'm long gone and not there problem anymore. Can't believe some people.

Attempted to stay at this location in Aug 2026. I paid for a room with two queens and a sleeper sofa. When we went to pull out the sleeper sofa for my son and make the bed, but there were super small black specs, which appeared to be some type of dead bugs. We changed rooms and the second room was extremely musty and the AC fan didn’t blow. The third room we tried had hair on the tile floors, dirty floors, something that looked like food fell out of the mattress when we checked it first bugs, and the AC vent had a ton of dust in it. Each time, we brought up the issues, the lady at the front desk was very accommodating and apologetic (she gets 5/5 stars), which was great but the cleanliness of the rooms receives 0/5 stars. After the third failed room, we decided to drive the rest of the 3 hours to our home.

We were visiting family in Perry, and, due to the large number visiting, we chose to stay in a hotel for the first time instead of staying at the house, which was full. The hotel room was priced reasonably, was clean, and the breakfasts were very good, with a nice selection (we even had biscuits and gravy one morning - a treat for us).
The staff was helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel if staying in the Perry area.
