I felt very discriminated against by the outside staff of the hotel. I quickly parked my car, stepped outside my car and took a couple of pictures because I was fascinated by how pretty the hotel was looking from the outside and then the staff outside started getting close and taking pictures of me and my license plate. I will not further consider my stay because I would feel unsafe around their staff. Plenty of other people walking by were taking pictures as well but they only discriminated against me because I’m not white. I would’ve loved to stay but not with this staff. If outside pictures aren’t allowed then they should have posted signs.

What can be said about an iconic luxury boutique hotel that hasn't already been said? This is the quintessential Palm Beach experience and Pink Paradise. From the exceptional customer service that anticipates and responds to everything you need, to the smallest detail of the hand painted "wall paper" in the living room with Johnny Brown keeping a watchful eye... The Colony is a place unlike any other. The rooms are not huge- that was not what was important at the time the hotel was built and it's still not the focus of the experience today. The rooms are well appointed, meticulously decorated and immaculately clean. The poolside restaurant is the place to be seen. The beach service and set up with chairs and umbrellas makes for the perfect day to relax. The food at Swifty's restaurant is exquisite and the cocktails flow perfectly. The Colony Hotel is an experience some may never know, but for the fortunate ones who do, they come back year after year to be enveloped into it's histories future.
The hotel is just OK. I believe it is overpriced for what it offers. The staff are the best part of the hotel — however, don’t let the fun wallpaper hide some of the issues with the hotel. Pool is small — nothing fancy. Also, food is just ok as well. They could be doing a lot better.
I booked a room at The Colony Palm Beach 2 weeks ago and later needed to reschedule my reservation, which is still over a month away. Despite reaching out in advance and giving plenty of notice, the hotel refused to accommodate any date change and will not issue a refund — even though I have not yet checked in and the room has not been used.
For a hotel that markets itself as a luxury boutique experience with "best-in-class service," this level of inflexibility is deeply disappointing. A one-month-out reservation with a simple reschedule request should be a reasonable ask. Instead, I was met with an unhelpful response and no resolution.
If you're considering booking here, be aware that your money may be non-recoverable the moment your card is charged — regardless of how far in advance your stay is. I would strongly recommend booking elsewhere!

MUSEUM OF HUMAN GOALS

The Colony Hotel is a true Palm Beach landmark. The design is beautiful and full of character, with hand painted details and a very recognizable style.
The atmosphere feels both historic and lively a place where people meet, create ideas, and have meaningful conversations. It’s not just a hotel, but a cultural point in the city.
We chose this location for a Museum of Human Goals (MuHuGo) meeting, and it worked perfectly for that kind of setting elegant, inspiring, and full of energy.
A great place for art, culture, and thoughtful gatherings.
Places like this show how environment influences human goals and creativity.
