  Nobody told me breakfast was 700 most places start at 600 no sign on the door anything I hear the person preparing breakfast coughing very loudly gave me additide when I asked her at 6:57 if she's ready this is not a low end hotel we pay for better service

  As an IHG member who stays at Holiday Inn Express properties frequently, I rarely leave negative reviews. Unfortunately, my experience at the Holiday Inn Express in Palatka, Florida, this past weekend was completely unacceptable. My family had multiple rooms and my room had several serious issues from the moment I checked in. The shower did not work, the toilet was not functioning correctly and there was no cold water. These are not luxury amenities — they are basic accommodations every paying guest should reasonably expect to receive. Even more concerning, a senior family member found what appeared to be evidence of bed bugs in their room, was in fact bitten multiple times, presented proof of the pests to the front desk and had to move rooms. Not only did this create serious concerns about the hotel's cleanliness and sanitation, but it created a potential health concern for a senior member of my family and the inconvenience of moving rooms. When a hotel fails to provide the most basic necessities — working plumbing and a clean, pest-free environment — it has failed to deliver the service guests are paying for. In situations this deplorable, the only appropriate resolution is to fully compensate the guest for their stay. Anything less fails to acknowledge the severity and inconvenience of the experience. I expected far better from a brand I have trusted and stayed with repeatedly. Management should address these maintenance and sanitation issues immediately before renting these rooms to future guests. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this property and will seriously reconsider staying here in the future.

  When I was leaving after my stay , my car wouldn't start. The staff made sure as soon as someone came in.And had a battery jumper , they found me and started my car. They were so helpful and considerate.I would definitely stay here again.

  It wouldn't hurt if the daytime front desk employees would smile a little more and be a little friendlier, at least pretend to enjoy your job... As per the location, truly difficult to navigate from the street into the hotel if you're going west.
