  Losing a star because of their few carts ... i had to wait, and am still waiting (2 hours now) for a cart to appear so I can check out!! I guess you have to take one the night before to have one!! Need to do better! Thank goodness one of the desk clerks was attentive and got one for me. Otherwise, it wasn't bad. Not sure if I'll stay again ... yes, it's that bad .. disrespectful people steal the cart, keep it in their room, and don't think about everyone else. My room was great .. the view was very nice .. got to see the universal fireworks. The breakfast is one of the best parts .. fresh made pancakes, and hot food plus cold food and sweets! People working were kind .. but i have a thing about people not saying HI when you see them in the hallways .. housekeeping should at least do that. Parking can be hard if you come in late on a weekend ... you may not be able to find a spot. I read one review about someone's daughter getting kicked in the bathroom ... so i tired this lock .. it can get stuck with that hook ... maybe they should smooth that down a little .. as an adult, it was hard to turn that knob, as the hook park was tight against the metal.

  BLUF- Affordable, cean and comfortable hotel with a convenient shuttle to Universal Parks. Stayed here with my family for our trip to Universal. Check in was quick and easy, the room was in great condition and clean. We were on 10 facing the parks so had a good view of nightly fireworks if we wanted. The hotel really does try to make it convenient for families visiting the parks. Even with the biggest breakfast rush (they had signs posted regarding when breakfast is very busy vs less busy), the food was continuously refilled and I didn't see a tray empty for more than a couple minutes. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Universal. My one complaint is not with the hotel itself but with the Universal partner shuttle. The last shuttle returns at 8:40PM but the parks close at 9PM, city walk at 10PM. However, it is safely walkable (1.5 mi) from the Universal/Islands/City Walk cluster, but not from Epic.

  Do NOT HO HERE! THEY ARE VERY RUDE AND our room got flooded due to the toilet and they just said that maintenance isn’t there and can’t do nothing. THE MANAGER IS VERY RUDE AND JUST DID NOT EVEN CALL BACK OR COME TO TALK TO ME

  We had a nice stay at the Holiday Inn Express. All of the front desk staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and the a/c was cold. We had a problem with the door to the bathroom being a pocket door. It was difficult to open and close. I would imagine elderly guests or those with hand weakness would have difficulty opening and closing it.
