I stayed at this location with my Fiancé for our 4 day vacation. It was close to Universal, Kennedy Space Center, and Epcot. The location was near an airport and expressway, but the noise was not an issue. The only faint issue I had was the size of the room. However, I understand that was it probably closer to the size of a room for people traveling a lot and needing a place to rest. The service was amazing, the staff was Super nice, and the breakfast was more than what we've had offered at other hotels we've stayed at before. Also, they do charge for parking even if it doesn't say it. Not sure how much since I didn't drive, however, just something to be aware of if you stay at this location. Aside from the size of the room we had, it was still cozy in it's own way and served it's purpose.
We picked this hotel because it was fairly cheap, had good reviews, and the location was fairly convenient for what our plans were. It's very clear that this particular hotel was designed to cater to people coming from the airport with long layovers, or who are only in town for a day or two, as the rooms are incredibly small. In terms of size and amenities, it was only marginally better than a large prison cell, but I'd imagine that's perfect for someone who just wants a place they can go to sleep and wash up after a long day. Since that's exactly what we needed anyway, I don't really consider this a negative, but it is not, by any means, family friendly. If the number of people in your party exceeds two, you may want to look elsewhere. However, the rooms were right next to immaculate, which was nice to see. No sign of bedbugs (or any other insects) in our room either, but always remember to check prior to settling in.
Anyway, our stay was amazing. The staff were kind and attentive, we had a neatly made bed and fresh towels every single day, and the free breakfast, while not crazy or anything, had a little bit of everything. I basically had eggs, a butter and cream cheese bagel, and some OJ, and that suited me just fine. They also had oatmeal, an assortment of muffins and fruit, sausage of various types from day to day, a few kinds of cereal (and milk of course), and a coffee bar. I don't drink it, but I never heard anyone complain about it, so I assume it's good. Your mileage may vary. There was also cranberry and apple juices as well, which was nice. If you need something different, there's a (very busy) 7/11 within walking distance.
Also worth noting that they charge nightly to park your vehicle. I don't recall the amount, but do keep this in mind before booking.
As for negatives of this location I can think of, besides paying nightly for parking, is that it can get a bit noisy at all hours of the day because it's right near the airport, so the noise of planes landing and taking off are prominent. My fiancee and I live near a fairly busy road at home, so it was actually easy for us to ignore that noise, but it may be problematic for light sleepers or people not used to noise.
Last but not least, the location of the hotel is very weird and getting in and out can be challenging depending on the time of day. There is no truly convenient means of arrival, and getting onto the 528 in either direction is a righteous pain in the ass, especially during rush hour where cars seemingly materialize out of nowhere and there's rarely openings. The traffic isn't the hotel's fault. It wasn't a deal breaker or anything, but still worth noting.
I can't recommend this hotel more, especially for couples or people traveling in and out of Orlando for short stints or long layovers. You could reasonably fit your family into this hotel, but with two people per room max, you'll have to be comfortable with your kids having their own room (let alone paying for two hotel rooms).
