  The initial check in was good especially since we had a late night arrival and I was able to confirm a late checkout with the lady on duty. The hotel was quiet overall. My issue was on day of check out, the cleaning staff attempted to enter the room without permission but thankfully I had the latch in place. I told her I had a late checkout but she said there was no record of that. The front desk clerk called my cellphone and demanded that I leave the room now because her girls had too many rooms to clean. She was trying to be argumentative so I quickly gathered my belongs. This staff needs to communicate more efficiently because having to leave prior to my late check out is a true inconvenience to my schedule. For that reason alone, I don't highly recommend this hotel stay if a late check out is needed and if you can trust what the staff says upon check in.

  Nice, clean, beds were fairly comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed having several options to choose from, especially hot breakfast. The ladies did a great job with maintaining the breakfast area. We hope to stay there again when we're in the area.

  The worst customer service that I have ever experienced in the hospitality industry. It is evident that this place is terrible from ownership down. Front desk literally warned me to control my kids upon check in, told me a story about a baseball team that was acting up throwing a baseball in the lobby and she picked the ball up and threw it and hit the mother of the kid in the chest… and she still has a job. Realized she we got back from the wedding that there were no sheets blankets or pillows for the futon, called down and was told that we had to come down and get it. When my wife went down late at night to get our linens, front desk lady had the nastiest attitude and lied about her name (she removed her name tag). We caught her with her name tag on later and my wife asked “So is Lacey the name I should report, or the name on your name tag” (Yuretni) she admitted that Lacey was not her name. I was told there was no management in the building that they were at another property… NO MANAGEMENT PRESENT WHILE HOTEL IS OPERATING?? Called IHG and filed a case, they said that upper management would reach out within 48 hours. 7 days later no contact. I call to check up on my case and any return of compensation was denied. The owner of the hotel refused any compensation and there’s nothing IHG can do to make right the way this property treats paying customers and IHG members. I guess if you’re not a diamond member they don’t give a shit…. The rest of my family stayed at the Hampton right down the street and had no issues. And the Hampton has a great Applebees on property… this piece of crap building has nothing. Treadmill doesn’t work, pool is shabby, pancake machine was down… coming from a former IHG/Holiday Inn manager, choose another hotel. Stay at the Hampton if you’re visiting Lake Okeechobee

  Probably the best [included] hotel breakfast I've ever had. The bed was comfy too. I will always stay here when I'm in the area.

  This hotel was very clean and the beds were comfortable and room was more spacious than most! We love the Dove bath and body products in the room too! The breakfast was great! They had a very good variety of food which was really good! Thank you so much!
