We stayed at the Holiday Inn last night. The room was clean, but it felt outdated, and much of the furniture was noticeably worn and banged up.
When we asked for extra towels, we were told we would need to come downstairs to get them. We also ordered a couple of drinks at the bar. The employee was very friendly, but she explained that she was not actually a bartender, so I had to walk her through how to make one of the drinks.
The pool was a decent size, but there was very little outdoor furniture, and dirty towels were left lying around the area.
Be sure to ask for a breakfast voucher because breakfast is not complimentary. The only sign showing the $15.99-per-person price was tucked behind a trash can, so we did not see it. I explained to the front desk that I had not realized breakfast cost extra and that I would now need to pay for two children. Liz handed me a voucher, but she was not very personable, made no eye contact, and did not offer any kind of friendly response.
There was also a party at the hotel that evening. We were staying on the second floor, and the bass was still extremely loud at 11:00 p.m.
Overall, the hotel was clean, but the dated condition, lack of attention around the pool, unexpected breakfast cost, noise, and inconsistent customer service made the stay disappointing.
Decent hotel in a great location. Rooms very dated. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered daily, a sign posted at breakfast buffet states you should check with the front desk if the meal is free. A 17.00 charge if not free with stay. We at a local restaurant. Plenty of parking.
Simply the worst experience I've had at a hotel.
Wires coming out of the wall (we have a baby), alerted management, never heard back.
Stayed one night (we had booked two) and told them we were leaving because of a myriad of problems, refused to refund us, baited and switched us after by giving us IHG points we didn't want, have ignored multiple emails trying to rectify the situation.
It's a holiday inn, expectations weren't super high, but a minimum amount of communication/courtesy when you have an unhappy goes a long way..
Recommendation: literally go to any other hotel.

I travel a lot for work and have stayed in many IHG locations over the years and this location is by far the worst and not at all up to the IHG standards that a regular customer would expect. This hotel is very outdated, dirty, dingy, and an extreme disappointment. The carpet is disgusting. The walls and furniture are scuffed and dirty. The hair dryer was too dirty and gross to use.
This location may have been nice 20 years ago but has not been maintained or renovated. At best, this is a $70-$80/night two-star hotel, comparable to a Super 8. I stayed here one night when passing thru the area and will never stay here again and will not recommend this place to family or friends. The only positive thing I can say is that at least the shower was hot and had good pressure.
