We recently stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago because a close family member of ours passed away in the area. When we first got to the hotel room we had to kill a live roach. When we woke up in the morning we had ants crawling all over the room we noticed. They were on all of our dry foods we had out and unfortunately had to throw everything away. The room was filthy. We rushed to get out of there. Upon check out our bill was more than they said it would be and they charged us $24 to park our 1 car there. It would absolutely never recommend staying at this hotel. There’s far better options at the beach, no one should be subject to such dirty rooms. Our total bill was $340 for 1 night. I’d sleep in my car next time if this place was the only option.

Being located right on the beach is about the only saving grace for the hotel. The major issue…cleanliness. Bring house slippers and shower shoes. The carpet in the room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or shampooed since the early 80s. The hall floors looked like it hadn’t been mopped since around the same time. There was a cockroach or two in the room. The bathroom was meh at best. The paint on the walls looked like it had been layered on over the years. The restaurant had been recently redone. The food (breakfast) was surprisingly good. Overall, book it for the prime location and convenience. If you’re looking for something clean with the convenience, book an AirB&B or check out the Hampton in on Flagler.

Extremely disappointed from the moment we first dealt with the unhappy man behind the counter who completely did not treat us like customers but more so as an inconvenience. As he informed us, he'll be much happier when he gets off of work. He continued to be snarky and downright rude as we were an inconvenience to him and his schedule. When I told him he should smile more, I was threatened with having the police called on us and he wasn't going to put up with that for the rest of the night which in any case he wouldn't have to put up with if he was getting off work anyway. Extremely lousy no kind of customer service whatsoever. Never will I go back to this Best Western again, extremely disappointing and the man behind the counter does not deserve to have a job in a place that is so beautiful as this. I can't rate the hotel room because I never got one. Not that I would want to stay in a place like this anyway with such an angry person behind the counter, I wish I could give this place negative Stars based on my very short experience

Requesting early check-in which I know is not guaranteed but when I spoke to the man at the front desk the day before when I called he said it should not be a problem come and check in anytime between nine and two. I know there’s a fee .. no problem. I feel they should not be a $25 a night parking fee but whatever! Problem is they were redoing the parking lot .The smell of tar was so horrible throughout the lobby .Every breath you take was sickening . I feel they should have shut the place down for that type of job being done. Aside from that forget the early check in . They never contacted me until 3:45 to check in. Got to the room ,balcony door stuck closed. Maintenance man rigged it to stay open. Beds were old & hard . Pillow case smelled like perfume . ( probably was not washed) also, they stuck me in a room overlooking the parking lot. It was an ocean view, but most of it was parking lot and going out on the balcony all I could smell was a horrible tar fume! Couldn’t even enjoy the balcony. In the end, I did not have to pay for the parking fee . I will say it’s a great location and beautiful beach. I was there three weeks prior with my husband and the room was very nice big fluffy quilt comfortable bed. I returned with my granddaughter for a girls trip and room 402 is the pits do not get checked into room 402 very dirty, grungy, uncomfortable mattresses, old mattresses, thin, grungy bedspreads. Also, very slow drainage in the tub after showering. I hope no health issues come from that horrible tar smell that was nonstop for the two days I was there. Very disappointing.

I was there three weeks ago with my husband. It was very nice. We had a nice room, comfortable beds and nice big quilt. All good! There was the fee for parking which was a surprise the early check-in fee I knew about. Decided to take my granddaughter a couple of days away there girl trip! Upon arrival, horrible smell from the parking lot redo. It was a sickening smell of tar/asphalt . The day before I arrived, I called a man said that early check-in would be fine which I know there’s a fee for I don’t care about that. I got there no early check-in. Finally got a call at 3:30 when I got to the room, balcony door was stuck locked . maintenance man came did fix it.when I went to bed that night pillow smell, perfume, like it never been washed. Couldn’t go out on the balcony because of the horrible tar smell from the parking lot. They stuck me with a View over the smelly parking lot crappy room. Watch what you book there. do not take room 402 very shitty room hard old mattress & thin bed spreads. Nothing like the first room when I was there with my husband three weeks prior. Very disappointing. Most important part is I felt so sick from the horrible smell. Couldn’t even go out on the balcony . Hopefully, no health issues will come from it. They should have shut down the hotel while doing work like that. The positive is it’s a great location & beautiful beach!
