  I’m having a wonderful stay at this beautiful and conveniently located hotel. Overall the service has been world class. Nicholos De-Pinto and Ousmane were extraordinary! I felt genuinely welcomed and they went above and beyond in their service and warm professionalism with every request of them. Regrettably, I can not say the same about one front desk person who will go unnamed - he was the exception to my experience.

  I can't tell you enough what a great hotel thus is. I came twice with my girls. One birthday trip also. Convenience with Starbucks downstairs (my favorite). Breakfast is excellent!! We had the buffet. Home-made & tastes so good. Pool is at a excellent location. Music while swimming, is so Miami vibe. Love it!!!Rooms are clean & spacious. I had 3 in my family. Conditioner, shampoo, lotion so happy IHG had it available - I forgot mine. The walk to Bayside is so quick & site seeing type. I could go on taking about the hotel, tours, location. Pm me for details & see pics attached. I will never stay anywhere else. The hotel staff- A+ for accomodations.

  My stay did not start off positively, as after a long wait for my room to be ready I was put into a room with dirty bedding and an under-functioning A/C unit. However, the service I received after raising the issue was great. The staff immediately apologized and switched my room, even offering me a credit at the hotel restaurant as an apology. My new room had none of the same issues. Do be aware that if you have a connecting room with an inside door to the room next door, you'll be able to hear pretty much everything your neighbor does. In my first room (see above), I could hear my neighbors shouting and making a commotion -- this would certainly have been a major issue if it continued at night. Thankfully, the room I was moved to had a quiet neighbor, but just be aware of this potential problem, especially if you're a light sleeper or plan to turn in early. This is a massive property - great for conferences or events. The sky lawn area is a cool idea and a fun place to hang out. The lobby bar at Toro Toro was great too, the drinks were well-made but pricey if you're not on a corporate tab. Overall, the location and bay views are hard to beat. If cleanliness and the connecting room noise issues could be addressed, this would easily be a 5-star option.

  Ok, so while on our 31st Wedding Anniversary, we sat at the bar for a quick lunch and Clint was our server. It was 100000000% GREAT CUSTOMER SERVING! I’m in the field of CS, and I know it takes a special person to deal with different personalities on a daily basis! Clint provided great information on the city, the best dishes at the hotel restaurant, and good restaurants here in Miami. Hands down great Customer Service! Clint is the best. Me and my husband expressed to him how much we are thankful for all of his services that he provided to us, and the other customers! #BuildingRelationships

  I stayed at this hotel for close to a month, so I had the chance to experience much more than someone staying for just a weekend. Location: Excellent. Honestly, one of the best locations in Miami. You can easily walk to Bayside and along the water, and public transportation is nearby. There is also a dog park and kids' playground right across from the hotel, which was very convenient for our family. Rooms: I stayed in both a two-queen bay-view room and a Junior Suite. Both were spacious and comfortable, but the Junior Suite was excellent, with a separate living/dining area, two queen beds, and 1.5 bathrooms. One negative: I was incorrectly charged for a Coke from the minibar. A manager kindly removed the charge, but afterward the minibar refrigerator was locked for the remainder of my stay. That felt unnecessary and left a bad impression. Breakfast: Very good selection and overall a great breakfast, although I think it is expensive if you don't have IHG status or breakfast included. Club Lounge: Probably the best InterContinental lounge I've experienced. Beautiful views, lots of space, a great drink selection, two bathrooms, and even a private meeting room. However, during a long stay the food became extremely repetitive. After the first few days, we were served the same thick, dry chicken for many days. I mentioned it to management, but there was very little improvement. Unfortunately, my biggest issue with the lounge was Amelia. We purposely sat toward the back because we were traveling with our young son. One day, Amelia approached us because another guest complained that our son was being too loud while calling "Mom" and "Dad." She reminded us that the lounge was supposed to be a relaxed environment. I understand respecting other guests, but there is only so much you can do to control the emotions and voice of a very young child. Rather than argue, we left. On another morning, my wife went to the lounge for a drink and was told, through an employee in training, that the manager did not allow pijamas in the lounge. The manager was Amelia. My wife was wearing long pijama pants and a long-sleeve top—nothing revealing or inappropriate. What bothered me was the inconsistency. During almost a month there, I saw guests wearing many different types of clothing, visibly intoxicated guests, revealing outfits, and animals without visible service-dog identification. Yet my fully covered wife and our young son somehow became issues. I reported my concerns to manager Areej. After that, our interactions with Amelia continued to feel cold and unwelcoming. We eventually tried to avoid interacting with her altogether. She was easily the most disappointing part of our stay and made us feel more like a problem than welcomed guests. That experience was especially unfortunate because the rest of the staff was AMAZING. Alejandro (Manager) was outstanding—caring, humble, approachable, and always willing to help. After around 80 nights at InterContinental properties, he is one of the best managers I've dealt with. Shania always welcomed us and even had crayons ready for my son. My man Larry was a pleasure to talk to every morning. Williams always greeted our family with a huge smile. Mayra was incredibly kind and welcoming. Eli always welcomed us with "BOM DIA!" Jackeline in the lounge was attentive, respectful, and made our drinks exactly how we liked them. Mario from valet was also a pleasure to talk to every morning. These employees made us feel like part of the InterContinental family. Overall, this hotel has an excellent location, great rooms, a beautiful lounge, and some truly wonderful employees. After nearly a month, I saw both the strengths and weaknesses. With better food rotation in the lounge and more consistency in how families are treated, the experience could be outstanding.
