Checked in to our room and checked out the bed and saw bed bugs under the pillow. Immediately informed hotel management. Decided not to stay there because of the bed bugs. Management did not refund us for the room we spend only 3 minutes in. We are appalled at the unsanitary conditions of this hotel.

The hotel is very OLD not well maintained… broken tiles in the bathroom rusty door frames. ,couldn’t bring breakfast to my kids in the room , and next morning we were giving wrong information at the front dest we had to wait 30 min for breakfast, once in the restaurant a woman half naked was inside the restaurant, as we are walking out, there was a group of people smoking mariguana by the hallway by the restrooms … as I am walking with my kids.

This property is clearly older. I hated the accessibility of the hotel.
First, the hotel staff was not helpful whatsoever. There was no direction on how to get to my room. They gave me parking directions, but there was no signage outside of the buildings or when you enter the building to see where the room is. You literally have to walk around to figure out where your room is. There is random signage on the walls, but nowhere that makes sense.
The doors are SO heavy, and when you have to use a room key to enter or push a button to exit, it makes exiting with a stroller unbearable. I mean, the doors were unbelievably old and heavy.
There was zero indication that I would need to pay $250 upfront for a security deposit. The front desk gave me no instructions on check-out time or what time breakfast was.
I tried to use the pool, but it was way too small and crowded to actually use. It rained for a little bit, and in just two hours, the roads were flooded. I couldn’t access the parking lot without risking my car by driving through flood waters, and this was after minimal rainfall.
It’s a mess of a property. The room itself was fine, but again, there was a heavy 80s-style sliding bathroom door that was unbelievably heavy and took major effort just to get in and out of the bathroom.
I hated this property.

Good location for both getting to miami and ft lauderdale. The staff is abaolitely terrible,,untrained, unsupervised and no accountability. Thr rooms and facilities are right out of 1989. If you can stay elsewhere, do it. This place is awful

Stay April 26–29, 2026, Room 2221.
My wife and I sustained multiple bed bug bites during our 3-night stay. The infestation was reported to the front desk on the very first night. Staff only changed the bed sheets — no inspection of the mattress or box spring, no incident report, no room change. We were bitten again on the second and third nights.
A licensed physician later issued a formal medical certificate documenting the injuries as "compatible with bed bug bites, most likely a contamination during this stay."
I sent a formal email with photographs on April 29, 2026, and a Demand Letter by Registered Mail (delivered May 15, 2026). A complaint was filed with the Florida DBPR (Form ID 7003434992).
The hotel has never responded to any communication. No invoice was ever sent despite multiple requests.
Photographic and medical documentation available upon request to any prospective guest.
on 6 9 2026: Thank you for your response, which is the first communication received from the property since our email of April 29, 2026.
A few factual clarifications:
1) On the night of April 26, 2026, no management team inspected Room 2221. A single housekeeping employee was sent to change the bed sheets — no inspection of mattress, box spring, or headboard was conducted. No incident report was offered.
2) If A-flex Pest Control conducted an inspection, please specify the date. An inspection performed after our departure is not evidence of the room's condition during our stay (April 26–29).
3) Our formal Demand Letter was delivered to General Manager David Healy on May 15, 2026 (USPS-tracked, signed for) and has remained unanswered until this public reply.
4) A French physician's medical certificate dated May 7, 2026 documents the injuries as "compatible with bed bug bites, most likely a contamination during this stay." This medical documentation remains uncontested in your reply.
5) No invoice for the stay was ever provided.
We remain available for a private resolution.
