Enjoyed my stay at Boulan South Beach it was clean and friendly staff at the front desk. When I checked in my room
Was upgraded at no additional cost to a Penthouse. When I checked out Kay made sure everything was smooth and made sure my stay was amazing.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after giving Think Hospitality the opportunity to address my concerns privately, I never received so much as a response.
Our room at The Boulan South Beach was perfectly fine. Unfortunately, everything outside the room was not. During our stay from June 21 through June 25, we watched law enforcement remove a woman from the hotel in a prison transport van parked directly outside the lobby. Later, undercover task force officers staying at the hotel confirmed to us that she had been arrested for prostitution. The following day, another young woman and her older companion drew the attention of numerous guests at the pool before the bartender ultimately escorted them from the pool area. Later that evening, a man who appeared to be in charge of the property was outside the hotel smoking marijuana with hotel guests on the sidewalk. When I asked him about the police activity, his immediate response was, “Don’t say anything.” When my sister asked about the young woman in the pink bikini who had been removed from the pool area, he confirmed that she had, in fact, been removed. To make matters worse, the fire alarms sounded twice during our stay. The front desk told us the first alarm had been accidentally pulled. Later, the same manager told us the alarms were actually coming from the neighboring CVS. Those explanations simply did not align. I was traveling with my 20-year-old daughter. After witnessing these incidents, I no longer felt comfortable allowing her to explore South Beach independently as she had planned. Instead of relaxing on vacation, I found myself focused on keeping my daughter safe. The apparent prostitution activity also raised obvious concerns about the individuals entering and leaving the property.
The room may deserve three stars. The management, communication, professionalism, and overall sense of security do not. As soon as we returned home, I contacted Think Hospitality, the company responsible for The Boulan and The Plymouth, because I believed they would want to know what guests were experiencing at one of their properties. They have had ample time to respond, even if only to have a simple conversation about what occurred. They chose not to respond at all.
My daughter is a flight attendant for American Airlines, and she will be sharing our personal experience with fellow crew members based in Miami. I also booked this stay through ID90, a travel platform used by airline employees, and I will be posting this same review there so other airline professionals can make an informed decision before booking.
Potential guests deserve the same opportunity to make an informed decision. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend staying at The Boulan South Beach for safety reasons alone.

This is one of the most rudest, unprofessional, unsanitary, business i’ve ever been to in Miami. The check in staff were very rude, and very nonchalant. It takes housekeeping over 4 hours to come clean your room, they don’t clean the rooms they just make the beds, they don’t clean the bathrooms, or take any trash. It says it’s a 10 minute walk to ocean drive but it’s actually a 26 minute walk. I see why the prices are so cheap.

GRACIAS SAMI 😁
First, I want to give a special thank you to Kay for making our stay truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, she provided outstanding customer service, was incredibly responsive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. The room was spectacular, and any minor issue that came up was addressed quickly and professionally—which, honestly, wasn’t much at all. It’s clear that the staff genuinely cares about their guests and takes pride in providing excellent service. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting South Beach and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
