  We recently stayed at Tranquility Bay Beachfront Hotel and Resort in Marathon, Florida. The hotel itself is very beautiful, with nice facilities and a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms and common areas were clean and well maintained, which we really appreciated. However, our experience with customer service was disappointing. When we made the reservation, we were given a specific rate that included breakfast for residents. At check-out, the staff tried to charge us a higher amount than the agreed price, and we also never received the breakfast that was supposed to be included. The attention from the staff was not the best, and unfortunately, they did not seem interested in making the situation better or providing a better customer experience. While the property is lovely, the lack of good service and the billing issues affected our overall stay

  Voici une version plus fluide et élégante de votre avis : Le cadre de l’hôtel est très agréable et l’établissement bénéficie d’un bel environnement. Cependant, pour un hôtel de cette gamme et à ces tarifs particulièrement élevés, nous nous attendions à un niveau de service bien supérieur. L’accueil à la réception a été très décevant : le personnel s’est montré peu aimable et ne fournit pratiquement aucune information aux clients. Nous avons également été informés que la piscine fermerait vers 20h, alors qu’elle a finalement fermé à 19h, sans explication. Enfin, notre chambre était située en rez-de-chaussée, juste à côté d’un local à poubelles, avec très peu de luminosité. Il est extrêmement décevant de payer un tel prix pour une qualité de service aussi insuffisante.

  Die Anlage und die Aussicht sind nicht zu toppen. Es ist alles sehr gepflegt und man kann den Tag über bequem zwischen Pool und Strand wechseln. Der Pool ist wunderschön angelegt und lädt zum Relaxen ein. Die abgesperrte Bucht bietet sich toll zum Schnorcheln an und der Sonnenuntergang am Strand ist ein weiteres Highlight. Außerdem können wir den Jetski Verleih nur wärmstens empfehlen. Das Mobiliar der Villen ist leider schon etwas abgenutzt und in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer bekommt man für die Nacht leider auch nicht wirklich verdunkelt und der Highway ist nachts schon sehr deutlich zu hören. Was wir aber für ein Familienhotel überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen konnten, ist, dass es weder Kindergeschirr noch einen Hochstuhl gibt. Ein absolutes Manko ein Kleinkind bei jeder Mahlzeit auf dem Schoß sitzen lassen zu müssen.

  We recently stayed at Tranquility Bay and had an extremely concerning experience that forced us to leave immediately. We have traveled extensively and stayed in everything from luxury resorts to basic roadside motels, and we can honestly say we have never encountered a room this unsanitary. The level of cleanliness was far below any acceptable standard. In our first room, there was hair everywhere including eyelashes, beard hair, pubic hair, and even dog hair covering the bedding, pillows, floors, bathtub, and sink. We also found a toenail clipping next to the bed. The window had been left open prior to our arrival, which resulted in bugs on the bed, and there were dead bugs throughout the room. The space itself was very outdated and worn, but we would not have cared about that if it had been clean. After raising these issues, we were moved to the room next door. Unfortunately, the second room was just as bad, if not worse. It had the same widespread hair and cleanliness issues, along with visible blood stains on the sheets. There were also torn window screens and more dead bugs throughout. At that point, we completely lost confidence that the situation could be corrected. I am currently pregnant, and the condition of both rooms felt like a genuine health concern. We made the decision to leave immediately after inspecting the second room and relocated to another hotel down the street, which was significantly cleaner and a far better experience overall. In hindsight, I wish I had documented more, but the conditions were so off putting that our priority was simply to leave. I would strongly encourage anyone staying here to thoroughly inspect all surfaces, especially bedding and bathrooms, using a flashlight. I am not sure if this was an isolated housekeeping issue or if the property is normally maintained differently, but whatever is going on is not acceptable and needs to be addressed immediately. We have since reached out to management requesting a full refund for our stay and are awaiting a response. If this is not resolved appropriately, we will be pursuing further steps to address the situation. This was not a minor housekeeping oversight. This was a serious cleanliness failure that raises real concerns about basic health and safety standards. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below even the most minimal expectations for any accommodation. All the photos of the hair on bedding are from different spots. This is just what I documented. It was far worse.

  We absolutely loved our stay here! The property is absolutely perfect with many amenities for you to enjoy. We gave them 5 stars as a whole and are really happy we stumbled upon them. I will say at times the front desk seems a little short but they're busy and probably dealing with difficult ppl constantly so we gave that a pass. The downside was the rental of the gazebo. We appreciated the shade and semi privacy. But with that comes no service and you still have a long walk down to the beach because there is no spots to swim near the gazebo because of rocks. Also the TVs are very outdated and we can't watch a family movie at night because of that. Not smart nor does the cable provide anything really worth while. Those minor things still didn't drop the 5 star because the good outshines any inconveniences. We highly recommend this place!
