Ok! So this place is a diamond in the rough. Zero street appeal and we were worried when we pulled in to check in. Nothing really catches your eye from the sign out front to the no frills front desk area but the rooms shocked us. Very up to date and to be honest my wife and I said the same thing. They had a very similar look and feel as Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resort. Very clean and spacious and if I have a complaint the shower was just a little small for a bigger guy like me. The sunset is amazing right from the back of the resort and the pool is large and inviting. Don't expect much for breakfast. Really just a refrigerator with Greek yogurt, some Jimmy Dean sandwiches that you microwave, small assortment of cereal and muffins. Coffee, tea and juice. Parking is very tight and limited. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Definately worth the value

We've stayed at **Banana Bay Resort & Marina** multiple times over the years, and it continues to be our favorite place to stay in Marathon. My wife and I absolutely love this hidden gem. It's tucked away in a quiet location but still close to great restaurants, beaches, and everything the Florida Keys have to offer. One of the biggest perks for us is the private marina. We bring our Jet Ski, and launching from the resort is incredibly convenient and costs less than the public ramps. We've also been fortunate enough to receive early check-in every time we've stayed, which lets us unload, get on the water early, and enjoy the entire day. On this trip, we made the short ride over to Molasses Key near the Seven Mile Bridge, and it was absolutely beautiful. After an amazing day on the water, we relaxed by the pool and enjoyed a fantastic seafood dinner nearby. It was the perfect Keys weekend. The resort itself is always spotless. The rooms are exceptionally clean, the beds and pillows are comfortable, the balconies are relaxing, and the entire property is peaceful. If you're looking for a quiet getaway without a crowded, noisy atmosphere, this is the place. Whether you're planning a week-long vacation or just a weekend staycation, Banana Bay delivers every time. What really keeps us coming back is the staff. They consistently go above and beyond for their guests. From accommodating early check-ins whenever possible to making sure you have everything you need during your stay, they genuinely care about their guests. A special thank you to **Carmen, Allison, and Elizabeth** for always being so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. They are a huge reason Banana Bay feels like our home away from home. We'll definitely continue booking our Keys staycations here, and I highly recommend Banana Bay Resort & Marina to anyone looking for a relaxing, clean, and welcoming place to stay. **One funny story to end with:** If you're using the marina, definitely obey the 5 MPH speed limit! I admittedly came in a little faster than I should have, and the dockmaster quickly let me know I was "hauling ass." I couldn't even be mad—I was guilty! The only thing that caught me off guard was that as she said "ass," I got a whiff of what smelled like Tito's vodka on her breath. I just smiled, said, "No problem," and went on with my day. It gave my wife and me a laugh afterward. Rules are rules, so slow it down around the docks... even if the speed enforcement comes with a hint of Tito's! 😂 I think this version lands better because it makes **you** the butt of the joke first ("I was guilty"), then ends with a playful jab rather than accusing anyone of drinking. That keeps the review overwhelmingly positive while still telling the funny story.

This place doesnt even deserve one * star. NOT ADA certified they lied. I Didnt even get a shower due to NO shower chair. I couldnt even access the bathroom in my wheelchair. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. NOT WORTH YOUR TIME. I DONT COMPLAIN. I JUST WILL NOT COME BACK. EVER! . Nor would I ever recommend it to anyone. Their good reviews were obviously bought. I am pretty easy to please and this place is a dump. l am very sad and today is my birthday. July 19th 2026.

I want to start by saying this is not a resort. It's a very low-end motel, and there is absolutely no justification for the excessive resort fees they charge. While some of the rooms have been updated, the property itself is poorly maintained. There was water leaking in the hallways, the room appeared dirty, the bed sheets were not clean, and the pool was absolutely disgusting. There are no Pool rules being enforced. Large groups of people brought their own coolers full of alcohol and loud sound systems, blasting reggaeton for hours. They were drinking, dancing, yelling profanities in front of children, and creating a chaotic atmosphere. Not a single staff member on sight to intervene. We even witnessed one guest cooking paella on the pool deck as if it were a campground, while several intoxicated women were eating inside the pool and washing their dogs' paws in the water. It was unsanitary, disgusting, and completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, although we prepaid for our room, the hotel required a security deposit, which is standard. However, days after our stay, the deposit had still not been refunded. Since then, they have ignored our phone calls, emails, and online messages. On the rare occasion someone answers the phone, they disconnect the call as soon as we begin asking about the deposit. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Between the poor cleanliness, the lack of management, the unsafe and unsanitary environment, and the unresolved deposit issue, I cannot recommend this property to anyone. Stay somewhere else.

I had a terrible experience; the woman at the marina is incompetent. She was a nuisance all day, asking stupid questions and constantly treating my friends in a racist manner. We were a group of 20 people occupying over 10 rooms, and none of us want to return if she is still working there.I had a terrible experience; the woman at the marina is incompetent.
