I’m glad that this classic attraction returned, although very different from the old version, as it’s now a showcase for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 100 plus year history and an upgrade from Star Wars: Launch Bay.
From your chance to see the masterful, Emmy winning animated short, Once Upon a Studio on the big screen, youngsters can enjoy a playground themed to Alice in Wonderland, six dedicated character spots, and a drawing class hosted by Olaf from the Frozen series
However, can I nitpick the fact that half of the character slots for the six spots that are currently available at the “Off the Page” spot at this attraction were wasted on characters that can be found at the other three theme parks on WDW property, that being Goofy, Donald & Daisy Duck, and Chip n Dale, which is totally unfair for the character fanatics who wanted to see some unique pals that couldn’t be found elsewhere, Rapunzel and Stitch deserve to be there as Rapunzel is not common at WDW in recent years due to her spot at PFTH being referred as a “visiting princess” to Tiana, and Stitch’s appearances in Tomorrowland are terribly inconsistent with either him appearing in a spot or roaming the area, and as pleasant as it is to see Mulan at the same place where her story was produced, she can already be found at Epcot in the China pavilion, I think I would put her, alongside the former five characters outside roaming around the Lot, and make room for Yzma, Hercules, Koda, and Tinker Bell, I think after that awesome promo video showing around 50-60 characters appearing on the lot, I think Disney dropped the ball big time with their choice for the meet and greets at this attraction.
Other than that, TMODA will be a fun experience for everyone of all ages on their next WDW adventure (if they can afford to go)
