Soaring around the world was wayyyy better. There weren't half as many scents, mists...the screen quality was terrible too at one point I saw the frame behind the screen ...so cheap ..the first time I felt I was really flying. Only 20 min wait with lightning lane but still...had high hopes ...America just has bad karma ..Disney should stick with universal think

Actually one of the nicest rides! I wasn’t expecting, but I really liked it. The experience is like flying across the states, over the fields, and the mountains. And you can almost touch the view! It is very safe and the kids really liked it.

I left feeling disappointed about the transitions and scenery chosen for Soarin’ Across America. There were little to no transition between the scenes taking away the feeling of hang gliding through these locations.

We’ve always loved Soarin’, so we were excited to ride the newest version, Soarin’ Across America. We waited in line 65 minutes. This new version pales in comparison to both Soarin’ Around the World and Soarin’ Over California. What a disappointment. It does not have the majesty and awe that the former versions had. Most of the scenes were just underwhelming. I have no idea why the Imagineers made it so, I’m sorry to say, dull. America has some phenomenal places! It could have been epic. It’s a one and done for us. No need to revisit until this temporary overlay goes away. I would definitely not wait in line more than 30 minutes for this one, unless you’ve never been on the ride before.

We rode our last Soaring around the World ride 5/4/2026 due to the all new Soarin' Across America.
Soaring Around the World was a great experience all the way around.
However the new Soaring Across America was
A Huge Miss: Fell Flat and Dull
The Statue of Liberty is the very first glimpse of the American dream on this ride. Unfortunately, it was only a quick glimpse. From coast to coast, the United States is home to some of the world's most recognizable landmarks that symbolize American history and culture, not to mention awe-inspiring natural wonders. Yet, so much was missing.
For starters, the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco is widely considered one of the most beautiful and photographed bridges in the world and was nowhere to be found on the ride.
Then there’s Philadelphia. How do you completely skip over the City of Brotherly Love? That is where it all began, but it’s nowhere in sight. No Liberty Bell, no historical landmarks, nothing. Boston was also left out, which is a major oversight considering the Boston Tea Party and its place in our history. Even when they did feature a state, the choices were baffling. Alaska showed snow-covered mountains with nothing except for a single moose. I really wish they’d shown the Northern Lights, people skiing, or maybe even American Olympians flying down the slopes.
Overall, this ride is a huge miss. It felt flat and dull. Disney is capable of so much more, and I really wish they had put more effort into the shift of this ride. I hated walking away feeling that way. I deeply enjoyed the previous version that soared over different countries, and I wanted "Soarin' Across America" to be much more enjoyable. I wanted to feel that true American Spirit.
Some people are saying this version is only temporary due to the 250th anniversary. Even if that is the case, Disney is fully capable of delivering a much more powerful, patriotic tribute than this.
