Pirates of the Caribbean may be one of Disney's older attractions, but it's still a lot of fun and has held up surprisingly well.
Yes, parts of the ride feel a little dated, but the atmosphere, music, and storytelling make it an enjoyable experience from beginning to end.
The highlight for me was turning the corner and seeing the pirate ships firing at each other. It's an impressive scene that really sets the tone for the adventure and is still one of the most memorable moments on the ride.
If you've never experienced Pirates of the Caribbean, it's definitely worth adding to your Magic Kingdom itinerary. It's a Disney classic that continues to entertain guests of all ages.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Disney Day For Me!
You haven't truly experienced Magic Kingdom until you’ve walked into a cool, dark cave of Spanish moss, damp air, and the glorious scent of brominated water. It’s the ultimate theme park sensory experience.
This ride is a flawless masterpiece. The queue alone feels like a massive relief from the Florida heat, and once you step into that classic boat, you’re transported straight into the golden age of piracy. The drop at the beginning is just the right amount of thrill to get your heart pumping before you drift right into a massive pirate ship battle.
Captain Jack Sparrow is hiding in all the best spots, the animatronics are absolute classics (shoutout to the dog with the keys), and the catchy theme song will be stuck in your head until you're rope-dropping the park again tomorrow.
Pro-Tip: If you're sitting in the front row, prepare for a tiny splash on the drop. It's the perfect, refreshing excuse to head straight over to Sunshine Tree Terrace or Adventureland for a citrus treat right after.
An absolute must-do every single trip! 🏴☠️🦜

What a classic! I've been to MK plenty of times and the smell of this ride always reminds me of when I was 6 and rode it for the first time with my parents. It makes me feel so nostalgic! I love it, and two summers ago was the first time my bf rode it--and he loved it too.

Due for an update! It's okay. I don't hate it. It's just pretty boring and needs some new things to refresh it and new scenes.
