  The best ride in animal kingdom! you never know if you're going to get soaked!!! Usually pretty quick to get on, but even if there is a wait they make the line really pretty.

  Kali River Rapids is one of those rides where you just accept that you are going to get wet and enjoy the chaos. It is a fun spinning raft ride through jungle themed scenery, and depending on your luck, you might walk out slightly damp or completely soaked. The best part is the unpredictability. You never know which side of the raft will take the biggest splash, and that makes it exciting every time. There is one major drop where water just comes crashing in, and honestly that is where most people get drenched. If you don’t want to be uncomfortable the rest of the day, plan this ride either during the hottest part of the afternoon or closer to when you are leaving the park. Wearing quick dry clothes or sandals helps a lot. Lockers are available nearby, which is useful if you want to keep your belongings dry. The queue is actually pretty interesting with detailed temple ruins and environmental storytelling about deforestation, so it does not feel boring even if the wait is long. No reservations required, but wait times can build up quickly midday, so earlier or later is better. Overall, it is not about thrills like roller coasters, it is more about cooling off and having a fun unpredictable experience.

  We had a great time riding Kali River Rapids at Disney’s Animal Kingdom - the river rapids ride was fun and exciting with lots of twists and turns - it’s a great attraction to cool off, especially on a hot day - the theming through the jungle and waterfalls makes the experience even better - expect to get a little wet but that’s part of the fun.
