- CMChristopher MondoneSep 30, 20265.0Back in the 60's, when Dad was on 30 days leave from the Army from over seas, he'd take the family camping in the old rambler station wagon pulling a pop up tent. Through Maggie valley NC to gohst town in the sky, frontier Land, gold rush junction, the rebel RR before, then silver dollar city, then Dolly Wood, the last week we would camp at cove lake State Park , before going home. We did the same thing every year thru the 60's and Early 1970's. Camping and fishing. We always looked forward to it. We had great memories. Now with me being a 68 year old disabled veteran on a walker now. And don't forget the tweetzy railroad. Always one of my favorites.
