By far the best resort on Disney property to just relax and walk around. Little secret, in my opinion, is that this resort is the most beautiful Christmas decorated one. The restaurants are great, especially Whispering Canyon. This place is so much fun and the food is delicious. Definitely give this a shot and you'll probably not stay anywhere else.

A Beautiful Deluxe Resort Let Down by Terrible Quick-Service Food
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is a visually stunning deluxe resort with an incredible, grand lobby—we even met characters there on our first day! It offers great proximity to Magic Kingdom, and the boat and bus transportation are highly reliable. (Tip: If you're utilizing Early Entry, take the bus and aim to be at the stop by 7:15 AM). We also thoroughly enjoyed the Deluxe Evening Hours, though you shouldn't expect low crowds.
The Highlights:
Dining: Breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe was fun and absolutely worth it. Geyser Point Bar & Grill also offered great food and a beautiful atmosphere.
Amenities: The gift shop is well-stocked, and the pool area is really cool (you even get to swim with ducks!), though the pool slide is a bit underwhelming.
The Lowlights:
Room Assignment: Despite calling a month in advance to request a specific room type, our request was completely ignored. We were placed in a basement-style room with zero view, which was incredibly disappointing for a resort that costs over $400 a night (even with a 30% discount).
Fireworks: Because of the heavy tree canopy, fireworks are difficult to see from the resort unless you view them from the parking lot or near Geyser Point.
The Absolute Worst Part—Roaring Fork: Avoid this quick-service spot at all costs! For a deluxe resort, the food is unacceptable. During an early dinner, I got a simple sandwich and ended up with food poisoning. My chicken dinner was rubbery and completely inedinedible, and my nephew couldn't even eat the chicken tenders and fries (which he usually loves everywhere else).
Final Verdict: While Wilderness Lodge is a beautiful, relaxing resort, the room lottery disappointment and the awful experience at Roaring Fork make this a "one and done" for us. We will definitely stay at a Disney Deluxe resort again, but it won’t be this one.

Wilderness lodge is considered a deluxe resort and it is beautiful and close to magic kingdom. The lobby is gorgeous and we were met with characters on our first day! The gift shop is good, the pool area is really cool and you swim with ducks! The slide is a bit underwhelming. I would say whispering canyon was fun and worth it. We went for breakfast. Geyser point bar and grill was great food and pretty atmosphere. The lowest points of our stay was our room location, I called a month ahead to ask for a specific room type and I feel like it was completely ignored. We were put in a basement style room with zero view so that was disappointing considering this hotel is over 400 a night with a thirty percent discount. Fireworks are kinda hard to see from the resort because of all the trees unless you see them from parking lot or by geyser point restaurant. The worst part of the whole resort is by far their quick service restaurant roaring fork! I’d expect much better from a deluxe resort. It is terrible and stay away if you can!!! We ate dinner there early into our trip. My husband got the simple sandwich and ended up with food poisoning!!!!! I got the chicken dinner which was rubbery and inedible! My little nephew got chicken fingers and fries that he’s loved everywhere else and said they were terrible! Avoid this place! Overall it’s a beautiful relaxing resort. The boat and bus service is good. If your doing early entry busses are faster. Be there by 715. The deluxe evening hours are really nice being a deluxe guest But don’t expect low crowds, it’s still pretty crowded. We will definitely be staying deluxe again in the future but Disney wilderness lodge is a one and done for us!

We enjoyed our short stay at Wildnerness Lodge. It was a surprise stay for my husband as he had been requesting to stay here since our first family visit to Disney in 2017. Watching the fireworks nightly, from our balcony, was an added bonus. The food options from Roaring Fork and Geyser Point were amazing. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Having stayed at club level before, maybe our hopes were too high. The customer service here was disappointing from start to finish. We arrived and the lady checking us in was pretty curt. She asked if we had stayed at club level and we explained we had in another hotel. She said oh good so you know how it works, pointed to an elevator and said she would call them to let them know we arrived. When we got to the 7th floor, two employees were overlooking the lobby. They turned, looked at us, and turned back and kept talking. No acknowledgement, no smile, no welcome. One was wearing a blazer and appeared to be a supervisor. No one welcomed us, offered a tour, anything. It started us off on the wrong foot. I did reach out to to the concierge who offered a form apology for an unpleasant check in. Beyond that, no employees even interacted with us at the club level. Most seemed to avoid eye contact at all costs. Food was disappointing (with the exception of the cobbler) and almost always had flies swarming. I work at a high end resort and I really understand the importance of customer service. For almost $800 a night, we got rude or disinterested employees in almost every interaction, food with flies, and a shower that took at least a few moments every time to warm even slightly. We come to Disney 2-3 times a month and we were very excited to stay at club level at Wilderness. I wouldn't return to this resort again.
