I have stayed at Saratoga Springs many times in the past and as always the rooms staff location and food was amazing as always. Disney is always on top of their game and makes sure you have the best experience. One of the nights we managed to get over to Saana for their bread service and a salad. Love it!

As grandparents we chose to take a daughter, her husband, and 2 grands to stay in a treehouse! We all loved it. Three bedrooms made it fantastic for all. Even the crib was provided, along with a pack and play (which we requested and was delivered before checkin. Wooded lots that leave you feeling uncrowded and private. Just beautiful!

My wife and I usually stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge when we visit the Orlando area because I love watching the animals. This time, we decided to try Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa instead. I was really impressed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was very nice and quiet even at night. I liked the layout, it was near the water, and it was a quick walk over to Disney Springs for shopping and dining. My wife and I went to the pools a few times during our stay. The pool near our building in Congress Park almost never had kids there, which made for a very quiet and relaxing experience. The main pool had a lot more kids, so we tended to avoid it. I appreciated having that separation. The only challenge with Saratoga Springs is that it is spread out over a pretty large area. When we checked in, though, a bellhop took us to our room on a golf cart, which was a nice touch. When we were leaving, we called for bellhop service and were told it would be about a 30 minute wait. My wife and I decided to carry our bags over to bellhop services ourselves so they could hold them after we checked out. On the way there, something happened that really stood out to me. A bellhop named Willie had just dropped off some guests and was heading back when he stopped and asked if we would like help with our luggage. I am sure he had other people to take care of, but he still made sure my wife and I were taken care of. You expect moments like that at Disney, but it is always reassuring when they happen. Those small experiences are the ones that still make us smile. Willie really topped off the vacation for us. It was such a small and kind gesture, but it made me want to come back to Saratoga Springs the next time we head down there. The zebras at Animal Kingdom Lodge can wait.

We booked a Preferred DVC Studio using David’s DVC website. I received a room in building 4 (the farthest one), but still in Congress Park. The room was on an inner portion, so I had a small view of Disney Springs, so that was still nice, of course it is only a request. That is why we chose to book this particular resort with this particular section, as there is a walking path to Disney Springs, and you enter at the Marketplace side by the Christmas Store. This was so convenient for us as we ate dinner there every night of our trip. The walking path is nice and right on the water with great views of Disney Springs. There is also parking at each of the sections, meaning if you drive a car, you can park right at your building. Our Studio room was nice and stocked upon arrival. Upon entry, there are some coat hooks which work great for backpacks or drying ponchos. The kitchenette has a microwave, toaster, sink, and mini fridge (with small freezer flap for like an ice pack). It is stocked with paper plates, bowls, cups, and silverware. There is also dish soap with a sponge and drying towel. Paper towels, can opener, wine opener, and a Keurig was there (it had a pot and a single serving option). This area was nice for warming up leftovers for breakfast the next day. There is a closet with a folding door and it has the safe and ironing board in there, as well as hangers. This is also where you find the extra pillows and blankets for the murphy bed. The bathroom area has the sink separated from the toilet/shower room. The sink was large and had a lot of counter space, two drawers, and an outlet, as well as a shelf underneath. Came with a hairdryer. The bathroom has a rainfall showerhead which is super nice. (and also a handheld option). Has shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and even a small shelf to put your own products which was nice. The main room has a lot of storage options. There is a small bench with drawers underneath, the whole under the bed is open for luggage as well. There are two drawers in each nightstand, there are 6 huge drawers in the main dresser, and the coffee table lid pops up and has storage on the inside. The couch is there and then you can pull the murphy bed down at night for 2 more guests. The murphy bed was actually more comfortable than the main bed! There are many outlets in this room (4) and each has two plugs and two USB plugs. The dresser had a decent countertop to put things on under the TV. The TV has a bunch of channels and we were able to watch playoff hockey and basketball. The balcony had a small table and two chairs. It was great for looking out at the views in Disney Springs, putting on sunscreen, and eating breakfast out there. The bus stop is located in the middle between all 4 buildings and was an easy walk. The busses came quite often and the next bus time was shown on the TV. The bus makes 5 stops and congress park is the 4th stop. So when getting on the bus, it stops at “The Springs”, which is the main stop, and then onto the parks or Disney Springs. Upon returning, it will follow the same path and you will stay on the bus until the 4th stop. The stops are 1: The Grandstand, 2: The Carousel, 3: The Paddock, 4: Congress Park, and 5: The Springs. The Springs is the main area where the check in/lobby is, the food/restaurant is, the shop, the fitness center, the community center, and the main pool. Also there is a boat service that runs to Disney Springs as well from this area. Of course they had tons of resort activities and amenities that you can use and get involved in, but we were so busy at the parks we didn’t have time! Overall the resort is very well maintained and really pretty even if you just want to walk around the paths. We really enjoyed our stay here. The main reason we chose this was because of the proximity to Disney Springs and that is where we wanted to eat every night. But since the only other park transportation option is busses with an internal bus loop, just factor in a little extra travel time for the extra stops.

We love Saratoga Springs (2nd visit) because it comes with a kitchen (we have kids with food allergies, having a kitchen means we can buy groceries and prepare food for them). We love the perks we get by staying at a Disney property (later park hours, transportation). I recently got back on a gym kick 4 weeks prior to coming to the resort and resolved that I would continue the progress in the mornings of our stay. Never visited the Fitness area and SPA before. Never saw or found the SPA part - wasn't looking for it either. The gym equipment was maybe not the latest, but it wasn't out of date by any means. I was able to find exercises for every muscle group during push, pull, and leg workout days, and every day ab workouts. My work out days consist of 15 mins of wake up/warm up cardio at target heart rate (80%) followed by 12 exercises of 3x sets of 12 reps. They have nautilus and free weights, elliptical, stair, cycle, and treadmill machines. Free weights up to 80 or 85lbs I think. For nautilus machines, they have a pectoral pinch and reverse pinch, chest and shoulder press, seated squat, ab upper crunch (would have preferred an upper and lower combined crunch), leg (quad) extension and curl (hamstring), and they even had a machine that you could setup for a multitude of exercises engaging legs, abs, arms, back, chest, but it was broken the whole week I was there. Towards the free weights section, they had a decline bench (good for decline chest press), a back and oblique bench, then two benches that go from flat to incline, and a giant fitness nautilus machine so you can do rows, lat pull downs, bicep, tricep work, and hanging ab work outs. I wouldn't say it had 100% of what I would have wanted, but let's be realistic - it's a resort, not a gym. I would say they had 90%+ of what I wanted which was TOTALLY fine. I'm not a lunk head, just an overweight, over 50 guy trying to get his life back, or at least, some semblance of a decent level of fitness. My workouts lasted 1h 15m cardio to weight lifting. The room temp was adequately cooled, and they had a filtered water machine with cups which helped me out on leg days and on the days I pushed a little harder. They provide towels as well. The resort itself - the room 1-bedroom can sleep 5 comfortably, we had 3 adults and 1 teenager. We bump into each other here and there, but it's not bad. The kitchen has a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. The kitchen has plates, bowls, mugs, glasses, strainer, pots and pans, baking trays, food storage containers (pyrex), and utensils - most everything a basic kitchen for cooking and eating would need. Noise levels can be hit or miss. The first time we stayed, our neighbors had a crying kid that just cried all day, mid-late evenings, and early mornings that impacted the main room pullout couch guest. This past time, quiet as a mouse (no pun intended on the mouse thing). The room A/C does a good job - so much so that when set to 72* (we were on the third floor, April time) we frequently got cold and would have to turn it off. It has a washer and dryer (vertical stack, small). One shower that has an overhead nozzle and portable shower head. They provide hand soap at the kitchen sink and both bathroom sinks, PLUS, they provide body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower, and even body lotion if you aren't too concerned about using special products of your own. As an old guy, soap is soap to me. Towels are also provided (bath, bath mat, face, and hand). Coffee packets are provided complementary, as are paper towels, toilet paper, tissue paper, dishwasher soap, and laundry soap. Makes it easy so you can pack lighter, less clothes, just wash them in the middle of the trip. So a week stay, just bring 3-4 days of clothes and wash them in the middle means less luggage, less weight. Staff ARE ALWAYS super nice, saying hello, welcoming you, reaching out to see if you need anything. The resort has a pool and is walking distance from Disney Springs and has transportation to AND from all the parks and Disney Springs too.
